currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

confirmed at a special meeting of the Woodville County

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £300 for Con-
struction of Nikau Creamery Road.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Po-
hangina County Council hereby resolve as follows: That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Pohangina
County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of the Nikau
Creamery Road, within the Mangaone Riding, the said
Pohangina County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 1½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valua-
tion of all rateable property of the Nikau Creamery Road
Special -rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
and 7, Block V.; Sections 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25,
26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, Block IX.; and Sections 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, Block XII., Oroua and
Pohangina Survey Districts; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made on the 1st day of July, 1902, and duly confirmed on
the 16th day of August, 1902.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Special District No. 4.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Te
Horo Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the
Te Horo Road Board under the provisions of “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of the Wai-
manu Road, the said Te Horo Road Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable
valuation of all rateable property of the Special District
No. 4, comprising 30 acres of Block Waihoanga No. 4a and
110 acres of Section No. 11, Kaitawa Survey District IV.;
and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-
yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made by
resolution at an ordinary meeting of the Board held on the
30th August, 1902, and confirmed at a special meeting held
on the 3rd October, 1902.

at a Special Meeting held on the 4th Day of September,
1902, and confirmed at a Special Meeting of the said
Council held on the 2nd Day of October, 1902.
Special Order.
RESOLVED, that the following resolution, adopted at a special
meeting of the Hastings Borough Council held on the 4th
day of September, 1902, be now confirmed :—
Resolution: That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1900,” and “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act,
1900,” the Hastings Borough Council hereby resolves as
follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by
the Hastings Borough Council under the provisions of “The
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for completing the erection
of the Hastings Public Abattoir, the said Hastings Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the
pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property
of the Borough of Hastings; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June
and 1st day of December in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION passed at a Meeting of the Hastings Borough
Council held on the 3rd Day of July, 1902.
RESOLVED: That this Council authorise the raising of a loan
of £500, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for
the period of forty-one years, at 3½ per cent. per annum,
for the completion of the Hastings Public Abattoir; and
that a special meeting of the Council be called to make a
special order in connection therewith.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA.—WEST COAST.
THE Government of Western Australia desire to give notice
that on and after Wednesday, 1st October, 1902, a green
light will be exhibited from a tower erected on the seaward
extremity of the Bunbury Mole, Koombana Bay. The light
will be fixed, green, dioptric of the 5th order, the height of
focal plane above high water being 44 ft., and visible from
seaward all round the horizon at a distance of seven miles
in clear weather.
Chart affected: No. 1034, Cape Naturaliste to King George
Sound.
