SCHEDULE.

BIRCHHILL EXCHANGE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 8,179 acres or thereabouts, comprised in the following pieces:—

(a.) In the Raglan Run, 5,130 acres, more or less, being Sections 22 to 35 and grant to George Doppa, situated in Blocks XV. and XVI., Patriarch Survey District.

(b.) In the Manuka Island and Mount Patriarch Runs, 1,206 acres, more or less, being two grants to George Doppa lying along the north bank of the Wairau River, and Sections 101 and 102, situated in Blocks IX., X., and XIII., Patriarch Survey District.

(c.) In the Birchhill Run, 1,843 acres, more or less, being Sections 39 to 42, Block IV., and Sections 43 to 49, Blocks V. and IX., Leatham Survey District.

As the said area is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 48674, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged with red.

Notifying Land in the Otago Land District subject to “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as Windsor Park No. 2 Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

WINDSOR PARK NO. 2 SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,178 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Sections 1 to 7, 26 to 29, part 30, parts 34 to 37, Block VIII., and Sections 12, 13, and parts 14 and 15, Block IX., Awamoko Survey District; as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 19269, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged with red.

Bounded towards the north by Woolshed Valley Road; towards the east by part of Rural Section No. 17749; towards the south by Tavistock Road and Sodwall Road; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 11 and 11A, Kohika Settlement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19251, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged with red.

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Kokatahi Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

KOKATAHI SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing 1,830 acres 1 rood 32 perches, more or less, comprised in the following pieces: Section 1611, Block I., Toaroha Survey District, 1,043 acres and 14 perches; also Section 2006 and parts of Sections 1917, 1919, 1920, 2014, 2145, 2146, 2157, and 2158, Block XIV., Kanieri Survey District, 787 acres 1 rood 18 perches: as the said area is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19267, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged with red.

Bonus for the Production of Quicksilver.

Mines Office,
Wellington, 7th June, 1900.

NOTICE is hereby given that a bonus of fourpence (4d.) per pound will be paid on the production of the first one hundred thousand pounds weight (100,000 lb.) of good marketable retorted quicksilver, free from all impurities, from any mine in New Zealand, on the following conditions, that is to say:—

  1. That at least one-third of the quantity is produced on or before the 31st March, 1903, and the remaining two-thirds on or before the 31st March, 1904.

  2. No bonus will be payable until the whole of the one hundred thousand pounds (100,000 lb.) of quicksilver has been produced as stipulated to the satisfaction of an officer to be appointed by the Minister of Mines, and on whose certificate alone the bonus will be paid.

  3. In the event of more than one person producing the required quantities of quicksilver before the dates named, inquiry will be made by the officer above referred to, when, if it is found that each applicant is equally entitled to a bonus, the amount will be divided in proportion to the quantities produced by each applicant, but in no case shall any bonus be paid until at least one hundred thousand pounds (100,000 lb.) of quicksilver has been produced in the aggregate.
