REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 34 of 1902, issued by this Department on the 19th May last, the following notice, received from the Acting Chief Harbourmaster, Fremantle, Western Australia, is published for general information.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA.—WEST COAST.—FREMANTLE HARBOUR.

The Government of Western Australia desire to give notice that, pending the alteration to the Mole lights (as previously notified), a temporary fixed green light of the 5th order, visible six miles, will be exhibited from Arthur Head.

The light will be shown from the 23rd August, 1902, until further notice, and visible south of a line drawn through Arthur Head and Rottnest Main Lighthouse.

Chart affected: No. 1700, Fremantle Harbour and Gage Roads.

Notice to Mariners No. 67 of 1902.

THE following Notice to Mariners, received from the Department of Navigation, Sydney, New South Wales, is published for general information.

ADDITIONAL MOORINGS, NORTH HARBOUR, NEWCASTLE, N.S.W.

THE Superintendent of Navigation hereby notifies masters of vessels and others that an additional set of moorings has been placed in the North Harbour, Newcastle, carrying a red buoy, in line between No. 1 Ballast Jetty, Stockton, and a point 160 ft. to the northward of No. 10 crane, and approximately 970 ft. distant from the latter. Masters of vessels are cautioned against anchoring in proximity to the moorings, in order to avoid fouling the cables, which lie S.S.E. and N.N.W.
