These sections are situated close to the Birchfield Station
on the Westport–Mokihinui Railway, thirteen miles from
the Town of Westport.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Land District of Nelson.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or par-
ticular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that
the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the
lands in the Land District of Nelson described in the Sche-
dule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Sche-
dule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of
the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 6,
Block VI., Kawatiri Survey District. Bounded by a line
commencing at a point 1686·1 links south and 8032·3 links
east of Trig. Station H, Kawatiri Survey District (the said
point being the westernmost corner of the said Section
No. 6), and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction
223·7 links to Peg III.; thence in a south-easterly direction
at a right angle, 223·7 links, to Peg IV.; thence in a south-
westerly direction at a right angle, 223·7 links, to Peg I.;
and thence in a north-westerly direction, 223·7 links, to the
point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
S.G. 48906, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon bordered red. For magazine-site.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, being
Section No. 5, Block VI., Matakitaki Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by a
public road, 115·7 links and 196·1 links respectively; thence
towards the east by Crown lands, 322 links, to peg IV.; thence
towards the south by Crown lands, 250 links, to peg III.;
and thence towards the west by Crown lands, 329·5 links, to
peg II.: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the
same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 48792, depo-
sited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
bordered red. For a public-school site.

this tenth day of September, one thousand nine

Notifying Lands in Taranaki for Sale by Public Auction.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of
“The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of
Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twelfth day of November,
one thousand nine hundred and two, as the time at which
the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be
sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at
which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in
the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such
lands respectively.

This village is situated on the Junction Road, where it
crosses the Waitara River, eleven miles and a half east of
Inglewood. There is a Government school here; and ample
reserves have been made for recreation, public buildings, &c.

part of the said Section No. 19, Tataramaka, 291·2 links;
towards the south-west by other part of Section No. 19
aforesaid, 619·5 links; and towards the north-west by Sec-
tion No. 21, Tataramaka, 401·2 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked S.G. 48030, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon bordered green. For a public
cemetery.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and two.
