AWITU ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Awitu Road Board, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” to execute certain public works, to wit, to take land for the construction of a road, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that copies of the plans of the said road and of the lands required to be taken are open for inspection at the residence of Thomas R. Tindall, Clerk to the Board.
All persons affected by the taking of such lands are invited to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public works, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to Thomas R. Tindall, Clerk to the Road Board, Awitu.

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL.
IT is hereby notified that the undermentioned Special Order has been duly adopted, viz. :—
“That, in pursuance of the provisions of ‘The Water-supply Act Amendment Act, 1898,’ and of a requisition signed by a majority of the ratepayers supplied by the Taratahi Water-race, this Council do now appoint Messrs. William Fisher, Roderick Gray, Thomas Victor Moore, William Perry, Thomas Ray, Arthur John Reynolds, and Henry Francis Skey the Managing Ratepayers of the Taratahi Water-race, to have and exercise all the powers of management now possessed by this Council in regard to such water-race, from and after the 30th day of August, 1902.”
I certify that the foregoing Special Order has been duly passed by the Wairarapa South County Council at a special meeting held the 26th day of July, 1902, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held the 30th day of August, 1902.

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of “Loasby’s Wahoo” Manufacturing Company (Limited), duly convened and constituted for the purpose, was held in the company’s office, King Street, Dunedin, on Friday, 29th August, 1902, at 2.30 p.m., when the following extraordinary resolutions were duly passed :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. T. K. Harty be appointed Liquidator.”
