Vesting a Reserve in the Hutt County Council.

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day
of September, 1902.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
has been permanently reserved for gravel purposes : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Hutt County Council :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the
fourth section of “ The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth
hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in “ The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Hutt County,” in trust, for gravel purposes.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District,
containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being
Part 2 of Section No. 44, Block VI., Paikakariki Survey
District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 12
of Block VI. aforesaid ; towards the south-east by a public
road ; towards the south by Part 1 of Section No. 44 of said
block ; and towards the west by Part 1 of Section No. 44 of
said block : as the same is delineated on the map deposited
in the District Lands and Survey Office at Wellington.

Extending Time for Purpose of Financial Adjustments under
“ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900.”

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth
day of September, 1902.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain
things required to be done by “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” in connection with the making of an
adjustment of property, liabilities, contracts, and engagements between the Feilding Borough Council and the Manchester Road Board cannot be done at or within the time
required by the said Act :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby extend the time for making and executing the
agreement referred to in section one hundred and eighty-three of the aforesaid Act, for an adjustment of property,
liabilities, contracts, and engagements between the Feilding
Borough Council and the Manchester Road Board, until the
thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
two.

Fixing Sitting of Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day
of September, 1902.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by “ The Court of Appeal Act, 1882,” it is
enacted that the Court shall hold its sittings at
such times and places as shall from time to time be fixed by
the Governor in Council, and proclaimed in the Government Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so
fixed respectively :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a
sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held
within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington,
upon Monday, the thirteenth day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and two, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

Post and Telegraph Officers to take Declarations under
“ The Post Office Act, 1900.”

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by “ The Post Office Act, 1900,”
I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby authorise the undermentioned Post officers to take statutory declarations of
Postmasters and other Post officers, as prescribed by subsection one, section ten, of the said Act, namely :—

FIRST CLASS.

Furby, William Stafford, Inspector of Telegraphs, Wellington.

SECOND CLASS.

Douglas, William St. George, Assistant Inspector of Post-offices, Midland District.

Miller, David, Assistant Inspector of Post-offices, Northern District.

Seager, Henry Fowle, Officer in Charge, Telegraph Office, Auckland.

THIRD CLASS.

Buckley, Timothy, Electrician, General Post Office.

Chaney, Walter John, Assistant Inspector of Post-offices, Central District.

Lands permanently reserved.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “ The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor
may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown
lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

And whereas by the two-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved
under the said two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months
after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of
such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette :

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrants the dates of which
are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazettes
specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the
second column of the said Schedule :

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so
temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified
in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved
as aforesaid.
