MINING NOTICES.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments; and in the matter of the Canadian Flat Hydraulic Sluicing and Electrical Power Transmission Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an adjourned extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company, duly convened, and held in the registered office of the said company, at the Government Insurance Buildings, 102, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Monday, 11th August, 1902, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed, viz.:

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the company, and that the company be wound up accordingly.”

Notice is also given that at the same meeting WILLIAM EDWIN CHARLES REID was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A SPECIAL SITE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Dunedin.

PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin, hereby applies for a license for a special site, as specified in the Schedule hereto, in respect of the land therein referred to, which has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right: 29th October, 1901; No. 18420.

Address for service: Town Hall, Dunedin.

Dated at Dunedin, this 18th day of August, 1902.

SCHEDULE.

Locality where special site is situate, with its boundaries, measurements, and area: Special site for power-station, 120 ft. by 50 ft., being part of Section 37 (Bush Reserve), Block I., Dunedin and East Taieri District.

Purpose for which special site is to be used: Electric power-station.

Claim in connection with which special site is to be used: Water-race applied for by applicant.

Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.

Particulars of dam: Length of dam-wall, 80 yards; greatest height of same, 11 ft.; breadth of same at base, 25 ft.; length and width of water-area, half a mile long, 100 yards wide. Estimated time and cost of construction: One year; £2,500.

Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.

Purpose for which water is to be stored: Generating electricity for transmission of power and electric lighting.
