MINING NOTICES.
In the matter of the Paul’s Beach Gold-dredging Company (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the abovenamed company, duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company, Vogel Street, Dunedin, on the 29th day of July, 1902, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
And at the same meeting CHARLES STEPHEN REEVES, of Dunedin, accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

THE BLAKE AND AUCKLAND LEADS GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
A MEETING of Shareholders in the company will be held at my office, Jetty Street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 20th October, 1902, at 4.30 p.m., when the following resolutions will be submitted :—

“ That the accounts presented to this meeting by the Liquidator, showing the manner in which the liquidation has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, be received and adopted.”

“ That the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator thereof, be retained by the Liquidator for a period of three months from date, and then destroyed.”

THE SHOTOVER QUARTZ-MINING COMPANY (NO LIABILITY).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of the above company, held at the registered office of the company, Queen’s Rooms, Crawford Street, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 29th day of May, 1902, the following resolutions were passed :—

That the resolution passed at the extraordinary general meeting of the company on 23rd December, 1901, to increase the capital of the company by the creation of 6,000 new shares of 5s. each, be confirmed, together with the other resolutions passed at the same meeting.

That such new shares be called “ preference shares,” and that the holders thereof be entitled to a preferential dividend at the rate of £15 per cent. per annum on the capital paid up thereon, payable out of the profits of each year, without any right in case of deficiency to resort to subsequent profits.

Whenever the profits of the company in respect of any year shall be more than sufficient to pay the preferential dividend aforesaid to the close of such year, and also a dividend for such year at the rate of 15 per cent. per annum on the ordinary shares, the holders of the preference shall be entitled to participate in the surplus pari passu with the holders of the other shares.

That in the event of the company being wound up the holders of the said preference shares shall be entitled to have the surplus assets of the company applied, in the first place, in repaying to them the amount paid up on the preference shares held by them respectively, but shall not be entitled to any further participation in such surplus assets.

GOLDEN VEIN GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LTD.).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held at the Stock Exchange Room, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 10th June, 1902, the following resolution was passed—
“ That the Golden Vein Gold-dredging Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882,’ and its amendments”; and that at an extraordinary general meeting, held at the registered office of the company, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Friday, 4th July, 1902, the foregoing resolution was confirmed, and the undersigned appointed Liquidator.

THE MAGNETIC GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” that a General Meeting of the Shareholders of the above-named company will be held in the offices of Messrs. Crust and Crust, Manse Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 11th day of November, 1902, at 4 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the liquidation thereof, shall be disposed of.
