rolls for the County of Amuri, and the taking of certain
steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and
taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,”
and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the
several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the
respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the
said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
- For preparing the rolls for ridings within the County of
Amuri: Until the 22nd August, 1902. - Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection:
From the 27th August, 1902, to the 15th September, 1902. - Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 30th
September, 1902. - Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with
reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 15th
October, 1902. - Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected
and signed, shall come into force: On the 16th October, 1902.

Native School.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
first day of July, 1902.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a public work, to wit,
the purpose of a Native-school site in Block IX., Tatura
Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native
owners, and the title thereto is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map of the said land has been prepared in
duplicate, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The
Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in him by the said Act, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such
map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed
to be taken for the purposes of the public work hereinbefore
mentioned; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the
King as from the first day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and two.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declara-
tions.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act
Amendment Act, 1888,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ran-
furly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify and declare that
VENETIA HARDY,
being a person holding the office of Postmaster under “The
Post Office Act, 1881,” at Blackburn, is authorised to take
and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-
and-thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace
Act, 1882.”
As witness my hand, this eighth day of August, one
thousand nine hundred and two.

Appointment of Vice-Consul of Germany at Sydney as the
General Representative of the Consul-General of Germany
for Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, recognised.

HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified
that he has been instructed by His Majesty's Secre-
tary of State for the Colonies to recognise the appointment
of the German Imperial Vice-Consul MUNZENTHALER as the
general representative of the Consul-General of Germany in
Sydney, State of New South Wales, in the case of the latter
being absent or otherwise prevented from fulfilling his
duties as such Consul-General for Australia, New Zealand,
and Fiji.
