Station S): thence towards the south-west generally by a right line to Silver Peak; and thence by Sections Nos. 2 and 1, Block V., Silver Peak Survey District, and the Otago Museum Endowment, and by the western boundary-lines of Section No. 1, Block IX., and Section No. 5, Block VIII., Silver Peak Survey District, and the western boundary-line of Run No. 171B to the north-western corner of that run; thence by the south-western boundary-line of Runs Nos. 171G and 171C to the Hummock (Trig. Station D); thence by a right line to the south-western corner of Section No. 2 of Block VI., Budle Survey District; thence by the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 2, 14, 15, 24, 16, 17, 19, 20, and 21, Block VI., Budle Survey District; thence by Section No. 1, Block VII., Strath-Taieri Survey District, and Section No. 2, Block VI., Strath-Taieri Survey District, to the intersection of the north-eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section by a right line drawn between the Hummock Trig. Station and the north-eastern boundary-line of the Forest Plantation Reserve, in Block II., Strath-Taieri Survey District; thence by the said right line to the Taieri River, at the Mount Ida Electoral District: and thence towards the north-west by the Mount Ida Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Oamaru Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement.
CHALMERS.
This district is bounded towards the north-west and north generally by the Waikouaiti Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the north-western corner of the Borough of North-east Valley to Carey’s Bay: thence towards the east by Otago Harbour to a point due west of the northernmost extremity of Quail Island: thence towards the north-east by a right line to the northernmost extremity of Quail Island; thence by a right line across Otago Harbour to the northernmost corner of the reserve in Block VI., Portobello Bay District; thence by Portobello Bay: thence again towards the north-west by Portobello Bay and Otago Harbour to Taiaroa Head: thence again towards the east generally by the ocean to Cape Saunders: thence towards the south by the ocean to a point in line with the western side of Hillside Road: thence towards the south-west by a line to and by the west side of the Hillside Road, in the Borough of St. Kilda, to the borough of South Dunedin: thence again towards the north-west and south-west by the Borough of South Dunedin, as the said borough is described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 99, 13th December, 1877, to the Borough of Caversham; thence by the Borough of Caversham, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 99, 13th December, 1877, to the City of Dunedin: thence again towards the north-west and south-west by the City of Dunedin, as the said city is described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 101, 20th December, 1877; to the Borough of Maori Hill; and thence by the Borough of Maori Hill, as the said borough is described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 77, 8th August, 1878, to the north-western corner of the Borough of North-east Valley aforesaid, the place of commencement: including Quarantine Island.
CITY OF DUNEDIN.
This district is bounded towards the north and towards the south-east generally by the Waikouaiti Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Swamy Hill (Trig. Station S, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District) to a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 12 of Block VIII., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence towards the east generally by the Chalmers Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to Otago Harbour; thence towards the south-east by Otago Harbour to the Borough of Caversham; thence towards the south by the Borough of Caversham, as the said Borough of Caversham is described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 99, 13th December, 1877, to the westernmost corner of that borough; thence towards the north-west by the north-western boundary-line of the Borough of Mornington, as the said borough is described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 14th May, 1877, to the Borough of Roslyn at Section No. 17, Lower Kaikorai Survey District; thence again towards the south-west and towards the north-west and towards the north generally by the south-western, north-western, and northern boundaries of the Borough of Roslyn, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 9, 20th February, 1890, to the northernmost corner of Section No. 51 of Waikari Survey District; and thence again towards the north-west generally by the western boundary-lines of the Borough of Maori Hill, as the said Borough of Maori Hill is described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 77, 8th August, 1878, to Swamy Hill aforesaid, the place of commencement.
CAVERSHAM.
This district is bounded towards the north generally by the City of Dunedin Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the western corner of the Borough of Mornington to the north-easternmost boundary-line of the Borough of Caversham; thence towards the east generally by the Chalmers Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the ocean; thence towards the south-east by the ocean; and towards the south-west by the south-western boundary-lines of the Borough of Caversham, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 99, 13th December, 1877, to the City of Dunedin Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement.
TAIERI.
This district is bounded towards the north-west and north-east by the Mount Ida Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the Lammerlaw Range to the north-western corner of Run No. 171B; thence again towards the north-east by the Waikouaiti Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to Swamy Hill (Trig. Station); thence towards the east generally by the City of Dunedin Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the westernmost corner of the Borough of Mornington, thence by the Caversham Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the ocean; again towards the south-east by the ocean to the mouth of the Taieri River; thence towards the south-west and again towards the north-west by the right bank of the Taieri River to the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 12, Block V., Maungatua Survey District; thence again towards the south-west by the said Section No. 12 and Sections Nos. 35, 30, and 31 of the said Block V. to Lees Stream; thence again towards the south-east by Lee’s Stream to the Waipori Lake, thence by the said lake to the mouth of the Waipori River; thence again towards the south-west by Waipori River to the western boundary-line of Maungatua Survey District; thence towards the west by a line drawn due north to a point due west from Trig. Station F, Maungatua Survey District; thence towards the north by a right line to the said Trig. Station F; thence again towards the west by a line drawn due north to Lee’s Stream; thence again towards the south-west by Lee’s Stream to its source; and thence towards the south generally by the summit of the watershed between the Waipori River and Deep Stream to Lammerlaw Range aforesaid, at the Mount Ida Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement.
BRUCE.
This district is bounded towards the north-west generally by Crook Burn from its confluence with the Clutha River to the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 13, Block XI., Waitahuna West Survey District; thence by that road and the road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 14 and 15 of the said Block XI., and by the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 10, and the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 9 and 8, Block IX., of the said Waitahuna West Survey District, to the road which forms the north-western boundary of Section No. 15 of the said Block IX.; thence by that road to the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 15: thence towards the north-east by Section No. 1 of the said Block IX., and by Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, Block VII., of the said Waitahuna West Survey District, and the south-western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the Waitahuna River: thence again towards the north-west by that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 6, Block VII., Waitahuna East Survey District: thence again towards the south-west by a right line to the south-eastern corner of that section; thence by the said Section No. 6: thence again towards the north-west by the said Section No. 6 and Sections Nos. 9 and 80, a road, and Sections Nos. 1, 82, and 81, all of the said Block VII., by a road fronting Section No. 2, and by Section No. 10, Block X., of the said Waitahuna East Survey District: thence again towards the north-east by the last-mentioned section and by Section No. 44 of the said Block X. to the Waitahuna River: and thence again towards the north-west by that river to Bungtown Creek: thence towards the west generally by the right bank of the said Bungtown Creek to the northern boundary of Section No. 11, Block IX., Tuapeka East Survey District: thence towards the south by that section and Section No. 10 to Block X. of the said Tuapeka East Survey District: thence again towards the west by the said Block X. and Block XIII. of the said Tuapeka East Sur.
