In the Land District of Taranaki; as the same is delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above stated.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.

Proclaiming the Taking of Land for a Road through Section 1, Block V., Aohanga Survey District, Akitio County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the lessees and of the mortgagees of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Council of the County of Akitio, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Aohanga Survey District, County of Akitio, hereinafter described.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the lessee of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Patea East Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land in the Opaku Survey District hereinafter described, that is to say,—

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the widening of a street in the City of Wellington, known as Adelaide Road, in pursuance of powers granted by “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897,” and “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899,” and “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900”:

And whereas an agreement has been entered into with the owner of the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto to take such lands for the public work hereinafter set forth:
