Land set apart as a Site for a Native Township in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the third section of “The Native Townships Act, 1895,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the parcel of Native land situated in the Wellington Land District, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby set apart as a site for a Native township, and I do hereby assign the name of “Hokio” to such Native township.
SCHEDULE.
HOKIO NATIVE TOWNSHIP.
All that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 39 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part of the Horowhenua No. 11b No. 42 Native Block, situated in Block IV., Moutere Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by a line commencing at the mouth of the Hokio Stream, and proceeding thence along the left bank of the said Hokio Stream to the western boundary-line of Horowhenua No. 11b 41; thence towards the south-east by a line bearing S.18° 20' 20" W. to the south-western side of the Muaupoko Road; thence towards the south-west by a line along the south-western side of the said Muaupoko Road and the production of the last-mentioned line to the sea-coast; and thence towards the west by said coast to the point of commencement at the mouth of the Hokio Stream: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 46157, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners, lessees, and mortgagees of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Patea West Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
