COURTENAY.

Courtenay District comprises the whole of the Templeton Road District of Selwyn County less that portion absorbed by Riccarton District hereinbefore described; the whole of the Halswell and Spreydon Road Districts of Selwyn County less those two portions absorbed by Lyttelton District hereinbefore described; that portion of Springs Road District of Selwyn County situated north-west of the Southbridge Branch Railway, east of Little River Railway, and north of the road forming the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 10211 and 9449, Block V., Halswell Survey District; and the whole of Courtenay and Lincoln Road Districts of Selwyn County.

SELWYN.

Selwyn District comprises Malvern and Coleridge Ridings of Selwyn County, and that portion of Ellesmere Riding of Selwyn County situated in the existing Selwyn Electoral District, together with Oxford Riding of Ashley County, Mount Hutt and South Rakaia Ridings of Ashburton County, and that portion of Upper Ashburton Riding of Ashburton County situated east of Winchmore Road and north of Black’s Road.

ASHBURTON.

Ashburton District comprises the existing Ashburton Electoral District less that portion of Upper Ashburton Riding of Ashburton County situated north of Black’s Road and east of Winchmore Road, which has been added to Selwyn District hereinbefore described. The Borough of Ashburton and the Town Districts of Tinwald and Hampstead are in this district.

GERALDINE.

Geraldine comprises the existing Geraldine Electoral District, minus Albury Riding of Mackenzie County, and plus that portion of Point Riding of Levels County within the boundaries of the existing Timaru Electoral District. The Borough of Temuka and the Geraldine Town District are in this district.

TIMARU.

Timaru District comprises the existing Timaru Electoral District less the portion of Point Riding of Levels County included therein, which has been added to Geraldine District hereinbefore described.

WAITAKI.

Waitaki District comprises the existing Waitaki Electoral District and Albury Riding of Mackenzie County, less all the country lying south of the Waitaki River and west of the Ohau and Hopkins Rivers. The Borough of Waimate is in this district.

OAMARU.

Oamaru District comprises the Borough of Oamaru; the Papakaio, Waiareka, Incholme, and Kakanui Ridings of Waitaki County; that portion of Otepopo Riding of Waitaki County situated north of a line commencing where the north branch of the Waianakarua River crosses the north-western boundary of Otepopo Riding, and proceeding easterly to the confluence of the said north branch with the south branch of the Waianakarua River, and thence along the Waianakarua River to the sea-coast; together with that portion of Otakaika Riding of Waitaki County lying between the north and south branches of the Kakanui River, and extending to Kakanui Peak.

MOUNT IDA.

Mount Ida District comprises that portion of Waitaki County within the boundaries of the existing Waitaki Electoral District, and the whole of Maniototo County; together with the Manuherikia, Matakauui, and Hawea Ridings of Vincent County; and that portion of Lindis Riding of Vincent County north-east of a line commencing at the confluence of the Bannockburn with the Clutha River, and proceeding thence easterly to the track leading from Bendigo to the watershed between Devil’s Creek and Banrockburn, and thence southerly along that track to the south-eastern boundary of Lindis Riding. The Borough of Naseby is in this district.

WAIKOUAITI.

Waikouaiti District comprises the whole of Waihemo and Waikouaiti Counties, and that portion of Waitaki County situated south of a line commencing at the south-western boundary of Waitaki County, near the source of the north branch of the Waianakarua River, and proceeding easterly along the said branch to its confluence with the south branch of the Waianakarua River, and thence along the Waianakarua River to the sea-coast; together with the Boroughs of Hampden, Palmerston South, and Hawksbury.

CHALMERS.

Chalmers District comprises the Boroughs of Port Chalmers, and North-east Valley, and West Harbour; Peninsula County; and that portion of the Borough of St. Kilda situated east of Hillside Road. Quarantine Island, in Otago Harbour, is in this district.

CITY OF DUNEDIN.

City of Dunedin District comprises the City of Dunedin; together with the Boroughs of Roslyn, Mornington, and Maori Hill.

CAVERSHAM.

Caversham District comprises the Boroughs of Caversham and South Dunedin, and that portion of the Borough of St. Kilda situated west of Hillside Road.

TAIERI.

Taieri District comprises the whole of Taieri County less that portion lying between Lee’s Creek and the Taieri River, west of the road fronting Sections Nos. 41, 40, 23, 22, and 5, Block IV., Maungatua Survey District; together with the Boroughs of Mosgiel and Green Island. The Town Districts of Outram and Allanton are in this district.

BRUCE.

Bruce District comprises the existing Bruce Electoral District, with the addition of that portion of Maungatua Riding of Taieri County situated between Lee’s Creek and the Taieri River west of the road fronting Sections Nos. 41, 40, 23, 22, and 5, Block IV., Maungatua Survey District, and less Clydesdale Riding of Clutha County. The Boroughs of Kaitangata and Milton are in this district.

CLUTHA.

Clutha District comprises the whole of Clutha County; Tapanui Riding of Tuapeka County; the Borough of Balclutha: and that portion of Mataura Riding of Southland County east of a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Tutarau Road District and proceeding thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said Tutarau Road District to the source of the north branch of the Otakaramu Stream; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Block IX., Waikaka Survey District; thence along the western boundary-lines of Blocks IX. and VI. and III., Waikaka Survey District, to the northern boundary-line of the last-mentioned block; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Block III. to the eastern boundary of Southland County; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Southland County to the road leading to Chatton Village; thence westerly along that road, passing Maitland Village, to Chatton Village; thence north-easterly along the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 9, Block V., Chatton Survey District, and along the continuation of that road, passing Waikaka Township, to the northern boundary of Mataura Riding. The Borough of Tapanui and Clinton Town District are in this district.

TUAPEKA.

Tuapeka District comprises the existing Tuapeka Electoral District, less the Matakauui and Manuherikia Ridings of Vincent County, which are included in Mount Ida District, hereinbefore described. The Boroughs of Lawrence, Roxburgh, and Alexandra are in this district.

WAKATIPU.

Wakatipu District comprises the existing Wakatipu Electoral District, with the addition of that portion of Oreti Riding of Southland County lying north of the Waimea Plains Railway from Lumsden to Balfour, east of the road leading westerly from Balfour, passing Sections Nos. 353, 351, and 266, to and across Waimea Stream, and north of the road intersecting Section No. 91, to Cowan’s Creek; less the Hawea Riding of Vincent County, and less that portion of Lindis Riding of Vincent County included in the Mount Ida District hereinbefore described. The Boroughs of Queenstown, Cromwell, and Arrowtown are in this district.

MATAURA.

Mataura District comprises the existing Mataura Electoral District, with the addition of that portion of Mataura Riding of Southland County not included in the Clutha District hereinbefore described, and less that portion of Waihopai Riding of Southland County lying to the north of the Seaward Bush Railway and west of Blocks I. and VI., Oteramika Survey District. The Boroughs of Gore and Mataura and Wyndham Town District are in this district.
