per annum, for the purpose of forming and metalling a portion of Kaimata Road South, and reconstruction of road from Section 3, Block VI., Huiroa to Junction Road, a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound be made and levied over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the Kaimata Road South Special Rating District—viz., Sections 42, 43, Block I., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 13, 14, Block II., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (in two subdivisions), 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 (in two subdivisions), 18, 54, 59, 61, Block VI., Huiroa Survey District. Such rate to be an annual-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to be payable in one instalment on the 1st day of January in each year.

All expenses in connection with raising the loan to be charged to the loan.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act. The assessed value of the said land is less than £100.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 1 rood, more or less, being Section 161, fronting Milton Terrace, on the plan of the Town of Picton. The grantee is described as A. H. Dendy, of Nelson, who cannot now be traced.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several intestate estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, being part of Lots 2 and 3 on the plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, as Plan 65, and being also part of the Rural Sections 238 and 239, in the District of Christchurch, which said parcel of land is of rectangular shape, having a frontage of 12 ft. 6 in. to the south-eastern side of Edward Street, Sydenham, by a depth of 66 ft., the north-eastern boundary being parallel with the south-western side of Burdett Street, at a distance therefrom of 69 ft. The said land is in the Registry the property of William Hagan, described as of Willow Bank, Storekeeper, who cannot be traced, and it is in the occupation of Charles Pearce, of Christchurch, Butcher.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:
