NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the pro-
visions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same within one month from the date
of the Gazette containing this notice.

  1. ROSEINA HAND.—Lots 42 and 43, Section 3 of
    the Subdivision of part of Allotment 1, Parish of Whanga-
    rei, containing 25 8/10 perches. Occupied by Applicant.

  2. RICHARD UDY.—Lot 14 of the Subdivision of
    Allotment 70, Section 10, in the Suburbs of Auckland, con-
    taining 1 rood 2 perches. Occupied by Edith Henrietta

in Ireland; Licentiate, and Licentiate in Midwifery, Royal
College of Surgeons in Ireland; now residing in Auckland,
hereby give notice that I intend applying, on the 21st July
next, to have my name placed on the Medical Register for
the Colony of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the
evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar
at Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately
subsisting between us, the undersigned JOHN WILLIAM
NICHOL, CHARLES WALLNUTT, and JOSEPH BERNARD SHEATH, as
Legal Managers and Mining Agents, in the City of Auckland,
in the Colony of New Zealand, under the style or firm of
“J. W. Nichol and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual
consent as from the 8th day of February, 1902.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,”
“The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897,” “The
Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899,” and “The
Public Works Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of
Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the
abovementioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—
namely, the widening of Adelaide Road, in the said city—
and for the purposes of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice
is hereby further given that a plan showing the land so re-
quired to be taken, and the work proposed to be executed,
is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the
said Council, situate at the corner of Brandon Street
and Featherston Street, in the said city, and is open
for inspection without fee by all persons during ordi-
nary office hours; and that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work by the taking of the said
land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of

such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing within forty days from the first publication of this
notice to the Town Clerk, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hereto-
fore existing between the undersigned, carrying on
business at Dunedin, under the style of “Cogan and Craw-
ford,” as Stock and Share Brokers, has this day been dis-
solved by mutual consent.

The business will henceforth be carried on by the under-
signed DAVID CRAWFORD, who will receive all debts due to
and pay all liabilities of the said firm.

HARRISON’S TAUPIRI COAL COMPANY (LIMITED).

Auckland, 23rd June, 1902.

AT a meeting of shareholders in the Harrison’s Taupiri
Coal Company, held on the 29th May, 1902, and con-
firmed at a meeting held on the 17th June, 1902, the follow-
ing resolutions were passed:—

  1. That the Harrison’s Taupiri Coal Company be wound
    up voluntarily.

  2. That Mr. N. B. Lusk be appointed Liquidator under
    supervision of directors.

In the matter of the Wanganui Gas Company (Limited).

AT a general meeting of the abovenamed company, duly
convened, and held at th· company’s office, Wanganui,
on the 28th day of May, the following special resolution was
duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the said company, also duly con-
vened, and held at the same place on the 17th day of June,
the following resolution was duly confirmed, viz.: “That the
company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of
‘The Companies Act, 1882,’ and that Messrs. W. P. Currie,
F. A. Krull, E. Howe, J. Notman, J. Stevenson, and J. L.
Stevenson, the present directors of the company, be and
they are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of
such winding-up.”

named company are required, on or before the 1st
day of August next, to send their names and addresses, and
the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and
addresses of their solicitors, if any, to William Purdie
Currie, Frederick Auguste Krull, John Notman, Edward
Howe, John Stevenson, and James Lockhart Stevenson, the
Liquidators of the said company, and, if so required by
notice in writing from the said Liquidators, are, personally
or by their solicitors, to come in and prove their said debts
or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such
notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the
benefit of any distribution made before such debts or claims
are proved.
