EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. lxii., folio 276, comprising Allotments 17 and 18, Block V., Township of Grants Braes, whereof DAVID RUSSELL is the registered proprietor, and of the outstanding duplicate of memorandum of mortgage No. 18392, charging the said land in favour of the Dunedin Finance, Loan, and Agency Company (Limited); and application having been made to me to issue a provisional certificate of title, and to register a dealing affecting the said mortgage: I hereby give notice that I will issue such provisional certificate and register such dealing, dispensing with the production of the said duplicate mortgage, at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to execute a certain public work—viz., the construction of a public road from the end of the Stock Track at Puhatikoho No. 7 B2 to the Waikohu Road—and to take for that purpose a portion of Poututu AB1 and a portion of Poututu A2, as the same are particularly defined on a map to be seen at the office of the County Council, Gisborne, and at the office of the Waikohu Road Board, Karaka.
The works to be undertaken on the piece of land required for a road are formation and drainage of surface-water.
Any person having any objection to the taking of the land or the construction of the road is required to set forth his objection in writing, and to send the writing to the office of the Council on or before the 17th January, 1902.
