Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of the Hauhungaroa Block, and of the three several applications of Oriwia Ngakao, Te Awatea Pitihira and others, and Areta Kapu and others, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS the said several applications were referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same have been duly reported on: And whereas it appears that on the investigation of the title to the Hauhungaroa Block the names of the persons mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, being members of the Ngatitekohera hapu, and also the names of the persons mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto, being descendants of Te Kohika te Ahipu, were omitted from the list of names of the owners of the said block: And whereas it appears to have been the intention of the Court to include all persons claiming as above, and that the said names were accidentally omitted: And whereas, on the hearing of the said applications, the rights of all the said persons were fully admitted:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said omissions, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the Native Land Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the list of names attached to the order of the Native Land Court on the investigation of the title to the said Hauhungaroa Block be amended by adding thereto the names of the persons specified in the said First and Second Schedules respectively.

As witness my hand, this 25th day of February, 1902.
