Red Deer turned at large in Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Society’s District declared to be vested in Chairman of that Society.

HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Society have turned at large a number of red deer in the Hawke’s Bay District, and that the property in such red deer and their offspring, and in every animal of like species at large in that district, is deemed to be absolutely vested in the Chairman of the said Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Society for a period of two years from the date hereof, as provided by section 38 of “The Animals Protection Act, 1880.”

Notice to Mariners No. 13 of 1902.
ROCKS REPORTED OFF HUNT’S BEACH AND BRUCE BAY, WEST COAST, SOUTH ISLAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that Captain Post, of the Government steamer “Tutanekai,” reports the existence of an uncharted rock about one mile off Hunt’s Beach, with the following magnetic bearings from the rock:—
Makawiho Point S. 21° W., distant three miles ;
Malcolm Knob N. 26° E.
The rock is whale-shaped, about 20 ft. long, and is uncovered at L.W.S.T.
Also an uncharted rock with 12 ft. over it at L.W.S.T., four miles northward of Bruce Bay; Makawiho Point bearing east, distant one mile.
Charts, &c., affected: Admiralty Chart No. 2590; “New Zealand Pilot,” 7th edition, chap. x., p. 368.

Notice as to Day for closing under “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS the local authority mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto has duly notified to me that the day upon which the shops in its district shall be closed, pursuant to the provisions of “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act, 1894,” is the day set opposite its name in the second column of the said Schedule:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by the said Act, I, William Hall-Jones, acting for and on behalf of the Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint that the said day shall be the day upon which all shops in the said district shall be closed.

Notice to Imprestees under “The Public Revenues Act, 1891.”
The Treasury,
Wellington, 27th February, 1902.
EVERY officer holding advances of public money is hereby required to pay to the Public Account, at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, the unexpended balance in his hand on or before Thursday, the 27th March proximo, and forthwith to transmit to the Treasury at Wellington the bank receipt for such repayment, together with an account of his expenditure to the same date, as required by clause 4 of the Treasury Regulations.
As respects disbursements which officers may require to make immediately after the close of the financial year, requisitions for the amount required are to be made in such time as to enable them to reach Wellington not later than the 15th March, so that the requisite funds may be placed at the disposal of the officer on the 2nd April or as soon after as possible.
