PALMERSTON NORTH DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the north-west generally by the Oroua River from its confluence with the Manawatu River to the Kai-iwi Road; thence by that road to the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 43, Block II., Kairanga Survey District (Te Matua Settlement); thence by the eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 43 and 44 and the south-western boundary-line of Subdivision No. 8, Taonui-Ahuaturanga Block, to the Taonui Stream; thence by that stream to Cleverly Road-line; thence by the said Cleverly Road-line and by Newbury Road-line to the Feilding–Palmerston railway-line: thence towards the north-east generally by that railway-line and by the northern sides of the following roads respectively—viz., road bounding Sections Nos. 56, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, road bounding Sections Nos. 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 20 (Scandinavian Settlement), road bounding Sections Nos. 449, 450, 451, 452, 453, and 454, Block VIII., Kairanga Survey District, and the Palmerston–Woodville Road, to the left bank of the Manawatu River; thence by the said left bank of the Manawatu River: towards the south-east generally by a line along the summit of the Tararua Range: and towards the south-west generally by Horowhenua County to the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the tenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Mangaweka, Rongotea, Sanson, and Foxton Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into five registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Mangaweka, Taihape, Rongotea, Sanson, and Foxton Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the tenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for a portion of the Gisborne–Karakа Railway:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such lands in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are taken for the purposes of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
