Proclaiming the Taking of Lands for Roads in Block X.,
Opaku Survey District, Patea County.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners and lessee of the lands hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Patea West Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as roads the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.

Amending the Description of the Native Township of Waipiro.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the description contained in the Schedule to a certain Proclamation made the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred, under the provisions of “The Native Townships Act, 1895,” setting apart land for the Native Township of Waipiro:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the parcel of Native land so set aside as the Native Township of Waipiro as aforesaid are those set forth in the Schedule hereto, in lieu of those described in the said Proclamation of the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred.
SCHEDULE.
WAIPRO NATIVE TOWNSHIP.
ALL that area in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 494 acres 2 roods 21 perches, more or less, situate in Block XII., Mata Survey District, being the Patiki Block, the Waipiro Blocks Nos. 8, 9, 10, and 11, and portions of the Waipiro Blocks Nos. 2, 7, and 12. Bounded towards the east by the sea from the southern corner of the Ohineakai Block to the northern boundary-line of the Purehua or Waipiro No. 2g or 13 Block; thence towards the south by the Purehua Block aforesaid, 481 links; thence towards the east by the Purehua Block aforesaid, 296 links; thence towards the north by the Purehua Block aforesaid, 380 links, to the sea; thence again towards the east by the sea, 6100 links; thence towards the south and west by the other portion of the Waipiro No. 2 Block aforesaid, 9000 links; thence towards the north-west by a road and the intersection of that road, 635 links; thence again towards the west by other portion of the Waipiro No. 2 Block aforesaid, 700 links; thence towards the north by a road and the intersection of that road, 3064 links; thence again towards the west by other portion of the Waipiro No. 7 Block aforesaid, 1580 links; thence by the intersection of a road and by the eastern side of that road, 4341 links; thence again towards the north-west by other portion of the Waipiro Block No. 2 aforesaid, 2800 links, to the boundary of the Ohineakai Block; thence again towards the north-east by the Ohineakai Block aforesaid, 4140 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 40508,
