WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897,” “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899,” and “The Public Works Act, 1894.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the widening of Riddiford Street, in the said city; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate at the corner of Brandon Street and Featherston Street, in the said city, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” that N. Guthridge (Limited), being a company incorporated in the Colony of New South Wales for the supply of mining machinery and material, intends to carry on business in New Zealand; and that the offices where such business is intended to be carried on are situated in Ritchie’s Buildings, Cuba Street Extension, in the City of Wellington.

FOR Deaf Children of sound intellect. The pupils are taught to use and understand ordinary speech. The best age for entrance is between six and seven.
The full charge for board and education is £40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.
