TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD DISTRICT.
Poll for Proposed Loan for Gladstone–Longbush Road.
The following is the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the Gladstone–Longbush Road Special Rating District, taken on the 26th day of October, 1901, on the proposal to borrow £2,000 for a period of forty-one years, at 3½ per cent. per annum, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and amendments, for the purpose of constructing the Gladstone–Longbush Road:—
Number of ratepayers on roll, 4; number of votes, 12: number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, 12; number of votes recorded against the proposal, nil.
Accordingly declare the above proposal duly carried.

WAIWAKAIHO ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
In exercise and exercise of the powers vested in them on behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” the Waiwakaiho Road Board do hereby resolve as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorised to be raised by the Waiwakaiho Road Board under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” for grading, forming, and metalling on the Korito Road, the said Waiwakaiho Road Board do hereby make and levy a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound on the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the Korito Road Special Rating District No. 2, comprising Lots 98 and 104 (half valuation only), 153, 154, 155, 99, 100, 101, and 156, of Block II., and Sections, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 148, 149, 150, and 157, of Block VI., all in the Taranaki Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of the loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed by the Waiwakaiho Road Board on the 30th day of October, 1901, and was properly made and passed by the Board on the 7th day of October, 1901, in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

ORDER made by the Mataongaonga Road Board at a meeting held on Saturday, the 26th Day of October, 1901.
In exercise and exercise of the powers conferred by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” the Mataongaonga Road Board do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Mataongaonga Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” for the purpose of forming and metalling and providing necessary culverts for Hakeke, Tinirau, Mamaku, and Mawae Streets, Eastown Road, the portion of Ikamoana Avenue lying between Nixon Street and Kepa Street, the portion of Kepa Street lying between Ikamoana Avenue and Tinirau Street in Eastown and Eastown Extension, and Nixon Street, which passes through Sections 63 and 64, Block I., Ikitara Survey District, Ikamoana Street, the portion of Clapham Street lying between Ikamoana Street and Morgan Street, and Morgan Street, in Sedgebrook Township, and White Street, in the Township of Ladysmith, the said Mataongaonga Road Board does hereby make and levy a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Eastown and Sedgebrook Special Rating District, comprising the whole of that portion of the original Sedgebrook Estate which is bounded by the railway-line on the north-east, by Section 77, Block I., Ikitara Survey District, on the north, by the Wanganui River on the south-west, and the No. 3 Line on the east; said Section 77; Lots 1 to 19 of Section 78, Block I., Ikitara Survey District; Subdivision 31 of Sections 78 and 79, part of Subdivision 30 of said Section 79, and Lots 1 to 7 of Section 80, same survey district; and the whole of Eastown and Eastown Extension; and Lots 6, 7, 20, 24, 37, 38, and part 39, Section 90, Block I., Ikitara Survey District, and part Lot 39 and Lots 40 and 41, Section 91 of the same block; containing 642 acres, be the same a little more or less: such special rate shall be an annual rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off: and that such rate shall be payable half-yearly, on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year.
Passed at a special meeting of the Mataongaonga Road Board, this 26th day of October, 1901.

SPECIAL ORDER MADE BY THE MOUNT EDEN ROAD BOARD.
RESOLVED, That the Board adopt “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” restricting its operation to the loan for water-supply to the part of the Mount Eden District to be known as No. 2 Water-supply District.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly made and confirmed by the Board at a special meeting held on the 24th June, 1901, and in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”
