Mining Notices.


In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments; and in the matter of the Kohinoor Extended Gold-dredging Company (Limited), (in liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held at its registered office, at Hokitika, on the 20th day of August, 1901, the following special resolutions were duly passed, viz.:

  1. “That the said company be forthwith wound up voluntarily.”

  2. “That Mr. Alexander B. King be appointed Liquidator.”

And further notice is hereby given that at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company, held at its registered office on the 10th day of September, 1901, the said special resolutions were duly confirmed in accordance with the said statutes. Any persons having any claims against the said company are requested to send in the same to the undersigned forthwith.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882”; and in the matter of the Number Two Matau Gold-dredging Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of this company, held at the registered office (corner of High and Princes Streets), Dunedin, on Thursday, the 12th day of September, 1901, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, the following resolution, passed at an extraordinary meeting of the company held on the 23rd day of August, 1901—viz., “That the Number Two Matau Gold-dredging Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882,’ and its amendments”—was confirmed as a special resolution. A further resolution was passed at the above meeting appointing RICHARD THOMAS WHEELER, Jun., of Dunedin, Accountant, Liquidator of the said company for the purposes of such winding-up.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882”; and in the matter of Grogan’s Point Gold-dredging Company, Cardrona (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held at 148, Princes Street, Dunedin (the registered office of the company), on Tuesday, the 3rd day of September, 1901, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

A further resolution was passed at the above meeting appointing GEORGE BLYTH, of Dunedin, Accountant, Liquidator of the said company for the purposes of such winding-up.

  1. That the Westland Dredging and Sluicing Company (Limited), a duly incorporated company, registered in England under the Companies Acts, 1862 to 1898, proposes to carry on business at Waiho and Hokitika, in the Provincial District of Westland and Colony of New Zealand.

  2. That the registered colonial office of the said Westland Dredging and Sluicing Company (Limited) is at the office of James Park, Solicitor, situate in Hamilton Street, in Hokitika aforesaid.

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

A further resolution was passed at the above meeting appointing GEORGE ARTHUR HARLOW, of Dunedin, Accountant, Liquidator of the said company for the purposes of such winding-up.
