Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Wirokino Road Board, County of Horowhenua.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Wirokino Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

WIROKINO ROAD BOARD.
Result of poll of ratepayers of Kaihinau Special Rating District, taken on Wednesday, 4th September, 1901, on the proposal to borrow £600, under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of re-forming and metalling Kaihinau Road :—
Number of valid votes recorded, 11; number of valid votes for the proposal, 9; number of valid votes against the proposal, 2.
The number of valid votes recorded for the proposal being more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the poll carried.

SIR,—I have the honour to give you notice that the following is the result of a poll held in Richmond Ward, Borough of Grey Lynn, on Tuesday, 27th August, 1901, upon the proposal of the Council to raise a special loan of £2,400 for the purpose of providing a water-supply and drainage for that portion of the Borough of Grey Lynn known as Richmond Ward; the said loan to be apportioned as follows: To provide a water-supply, £2,150; for drainage purposes, £250 :—
For the proposal, 57; against the proposal, 10.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried,

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” I, R. T. Warnock, Mayor of Grey Lynn, do solemnly and sincerely declare—

That the proposal of the Grey Lynn Borough Council to raise a special loan of £2,400 for the above-mentioned purposes was submitted to a poll of the ratepayers of Richmond Ward, Borough of Grey Lynn, on the 27th day of August, 1901.

That all the proceedings required to be taken by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” in or towards obtaining the sanction of the ratepayers of the said Richmond Ward, Borough of Grey Lynn, to the said proposal have been duly taken.

That the resolution in favour of the said proposal has been duly carried.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

SIR,—I have the honour to give you notice that the following is the result of a poll held in Surrey and Sussex Wards, Borough of Grey Lynn, on Wednesday, 28th August, 1901, upon the proposal of the Council to raise a special loan of £6,000 for the purpose of providing a system of drainage and an extension of the water-supply in those portions of the Borough of Grey Lynn known as Surrey and Sussex Wards; the said loan to be apportioned as follows: To provide a system of drainage, £4,500; to extend the water-supply, £1,500 :—
For the proposal, 152; against the proposal, 14.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

Notice of the Laying-off of Roads through Makomako and Pungarehuroa Blocks, Whitianga Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 92 of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by warrant dated the 29th day of November, 1900.

Increasing Fees for Analyses of Manures.
Department of Mines,
Wellington, 16th September, 1901.
BY direction of the Hon. the Minister of Mines, the fee for a complete analysis of guano, bones, or super-phosphate shall be £1 1s., except in the case of manures sent in under “The Manure Adulteration Act, 1892,” when the fee shall be 7s. 6d. In the latter case the invoice certificate must accompany the sample for analysis.

NOTICE.—PHILIP CANTOR, Esq., of Perth, Western Australia,, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, has this day been appointed by his Honour the Chief Justice a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of Western Australia, under the 2nd section of “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.
