  1. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.
  2. If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.
  3. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
    And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcel of Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 40 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 41A, Block XI., Apiti Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 41B; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south by Section No. 15; and towards the north-west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington.

Apiti Recreation-ground brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1901.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Wellington Land District, and known as the Apiti Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 40 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 41A, Block XI., Apiti Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 41B; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south by Section No. 15; and towards the north-west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington.

Consenting to closing Road through Rural Section 11119, Levels County.

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1901.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained: And whereas the Levels County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Levels County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto,

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked as above noted, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above noted.

Consenting to Land being taken for Heatherlea Road, East Extension, through Part of Section 9, Block XIV., Mount Robinson Survey District.

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1901.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by “The Public Works Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, in section fourteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that there shall not be taken any land occupied by any building, yard, garden, orchard, or vineyard, or in bonâ fide occupation as an ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the previous consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas the consent of the Governor in Council is required to the taking of land for a road through Section 9, Block XIV., Mount Robinson Survey District, which is occupied by an orchard:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the portion of land in Section 9, Block XIV., Mount Robinson Survey District, containing twelve perches, being taken for the purpose of the said road. As the said road-line is shown upon the sketch plan marked R. 2418, deposited in the Head Office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to closing Road through Sections 261 and 262, Block III., Turanganui Survey District, Kaiti Road District.

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1901.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained: And whereas the Kaiti Road Board has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Kaiti Road Board closing the part of the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
