Zealand, do hereby declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of Part V. of “The Land Act, 1892,” relating to small grazing-runs.

New County of Woodville divided into Ridings, &c.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Woodville County Act, 1901,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby divide the new County of Woodville, as constituted by the said Acts, into four ridings, to be called the Maharahara Riding, the Woodville Riding, the Mangaatua Riding, and the Kumeroa Riding, and declare that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth under the names of the said ridings respectively in the Schedule hereto.
And I do hereby declare that two members shall be elected for each of the above-named ridings.
And I do further declare that Tuesday, the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and one, shall be the day upon which the election of the first Council of the said County of Woodville shall take place, and that Saturday, the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and one, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, shall be the time, and the Woodville Borough Council Chambers, at Woodville, shall be the place, at which the first meeting of the said Council shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
MAHARAHARA RIDING.
ALL that area in the County of Woodville bounded towards the north-east generally by Tamaki No. IV. Block from the boundary of the County of Pohangina to the Mangapukakahu Stream, at the north-eastern corner of Section No. 13, Block I., Woodville Survey District; thence by the said Mangapukakahu Stream to its confluence with the Oruakeretaki Stream; thence by the said Oruakeretaki Stream to the Manawatu River: thence towards the south-east generally by the Manawatu River to a point in line with the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 21, Block IX., Tahoraite Survey District: thence towards the west by a right line to the south-eastern corner of the said Section No. 21; thence by the said eastern boundary-line of Section No. 21 aforesaid, and by Allotments Nos. 5 and 1 of reserve for the Borough of Napier, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment: thence towards the south-west by the said Allotment No. 1 to the Woodville-Dannevirke Main Road; thence by a right line across the railway-line to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 13, Block III., Woodville Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 3 and 13, Block XI., to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 9, Block X.; thence by that road and Sections Nos. 9, 8, 41, 7, 6, 5, 4, a public road, and Nos. 3, 2, and 1, Block X. aforesaid, and Section No. 10, Block XVI., Woodville Survey District, to the boundary of the County of Pohangina: and thence towards the north-west by the County of Pohangina to the place of commencement.
WOODVILLE RIDING.
All that area in the County of Woodville bounded towards the north-east by the Maharahara Riding, hereinbefore described, from the boundary of the County of Pohangina to the Woodville-Dannevirke Main Road: thence towards the south-east and south generally by that road to the Mangaatua Stream; thence by the said Mangaatua Stream to the Borough of Woodville; thence by the said Borough of Woodville to the Mangaatua Stream, and thence by that stream to the Manawatu River: thence towards the south-west by a line along the middle of that river to the boundary of the County of Pohangina: and thence towards the north-west by the said County of Pohangina to the place of commencement.
MANGAATUA RIDING.
All that area in the County of Woodville bounded towards the north and north-west generally by the Woodville Riding, hereinbefore described, and the Borough of Woodville, from the Manawatu River to the north-western corner of Allotment No. 1 of reserve for the Borough of Napier; thence towards the north-east and east by the Maharahara Riding, hereinbefore described, to the Manawatu River; and thence towards the south-east and south-west generally by the said Manawatu River to the place of commencement.
KUMEROA RIDING.
All that area in the County of Woodville bounded towards the north generally by a right line from a point on the right bank of the Manawatu River due west of the mouth of the Otope Stream to the mouth of that stream; thence by the said Otope Stream to its intersection by the southern boundary line of Kaitoki No. 3 Block; thence by the said Kaitoki No. 3 Block to Mangatoro No. 1 Block: thence towards the east generally by Mangatoro Nos. 1, 3, and 2 Blocks to Puketoi No. 6B Block; and thence by Puketoi Nos. 6B and 6A Blocks to the northern boundary-line of the County of Pahiatua: thence towards the south by the County of Pahiatua to the Manawatu River: and thence towards the north-west generally by the Mangaatua and Maharahara Ridings hereinbefore described to the place of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, made and issued on the twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, under the said Act, and delegating all the powers conferred by the said Act (except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve of such Act) in respect of the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto to the following persons, who are known as the Menzies Ferry Domain Board, namely:—

WILLIAM SHIELDS,
ROBERT BRANNIGAN,
WILLIAM WINTER, and
DONALD ROSS HUNTER.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 132 acres 1 rood, being Sections Nos. 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, and 45, Block IV., Menzies Ferry Township. Bounded on the north by Exeter Street, 3468·8 links; towards the east by Matta Road, 4167·2 links; on the south by Sections Nos. 35 and 34 of said block, 3211·9 links; and towards the west by Athens Road, 228·5 links and 395·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
