Rural Land in the Marlborough Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and one; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may be selected on lease in perpetuity only, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-one of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metals, minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Rural Land in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and one; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—HOKIANGA COUNTY.

Unsurveyed Second-class Land.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in Block IV., Whangape Survey District, and Blocks V. and IX., Mangamuka Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2,300 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north generally by Sections Nos. 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23, of Block IV., Whangape Survey District; towards the north-east generally by Sections Nos. 10, 1, 8, and 9, of Block V., Mangamuka Survey District; towards the south-east by the Motukaraka North Block; towards the south by Section No. 6 of Block IX., Mangamuka Survey District, by a public road, and by Section No. 20 of the same block; towards the south-west and again towards the south-east by the Tapuwae No. 1 Block; again towards the south by Sections Nos. 8, 4, and 1, of Block VI., Whangape Survey District; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 11 and 12 of Block III., Whangape Survey District, to the point of commencement.

Broken forest land; well watered; of good quality. Situated from seven to thirteen miles from Kohukohu.

Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 4·5d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity, 3·6d. per acre per annum.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

CHARLES O’BRIEN

to be a Trustee in the place of Patrick Hoy, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Whitianga Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and one.

to be Trustees, in the place of Malcolm Mathieson and Samuel Bews, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Mokoreta Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
