Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond, namely,—

Port of Auckland.

A building of brick, roofed with iron, and situate on Allotments 31 and 32, at corner of Fort and Gore Streets, Auckland, to be known as

CHAMBERS BOND.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and one.

Land in Otago Land District notified as being subject to “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

Wellington, 18th July, 1901.

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” I hereby notify that the under-mentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Earnsleugh Freeholds, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,151 acres 3 roods 36 perches, more or less, situated in Leaning Rock Survey District, and comprising the following sections:—

Pre-emptive right marked “A” on original Run No. 249; pre-emptive right marked “3” on original Run No. 249: being Section No. 3, Block X., Leaning Rock Survey District.

Pre-emptive right marked “Section 1” on original Run No. 325B, being Section No. 1, Block XIV., and Section No. 1, Block XI., Leaning Rock Survey District.

As the above area is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 25533, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.

Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds.—Notice No. 656.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the under-mentioned local governing bodies have by special order declared the whole of the plants enumerated in the Second Schedule to “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” to be “noxious weeds” within the meaning of the aforesaid Act in the district under the jurisdiction of each respectively:—

Maraetai Road Board.
Cambridge Road Board.
Tamahere Road Board.

Member of the House of Representatives elected, City of Christchurch Electoral District.

Prohibition of Importation of Fruit into Western Australia removed.—Notice No. 654.

Department of Agriculture,
Wellington, N.Z., 18th July, 1901.

THE following cable has been received from the Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Perth, Western Australia, and is published for general information:—

“By Order in Council, 5th instant, prohibition against importation of fresh fruits from Queensland and citrus fruits from New South Wales removed; also prohibition against apples, pears, and quinces, but the last three can only enter this State at Albany, Fremantle, and all ports north of 26th parallel of south latitude.

“All consignments of all fruits must be accompanied by certificate of your officer saying have been inspected, and found free from disease. Understand that your Government has consented to this course. Please make public.

NOTE.—Fruit or plants intended for export will be inspected at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin. The Inspectors may be communicated with at the offices of the Department of Agriculture in those towns.

“The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1900.”—Notice of Cancellation of Registry.

Wellington, 2nd July, 1901.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application on that behalf made to me by the Christchurch Master Bakers’ Industrial Union of Employers, registered No. 130, situated at Christchurch, the registration of that industrial union will be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date hereof unless within the six weeks specified proceedings be commenced by a member or other person interested in or having some claim on the funds of the industrial union to set aside such cancellation, and the same is set aside accordingly.

Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed.

NOTICE.—HENRY PERCY DOWNING, Esq., of Perth, in the State of Western Australia, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, has this day been appointed by his Honour the Chief Justice a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of Western Australia under the 2nd section of “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.
