TIMARU HARBOUR.—LIGHT ON EASTERN EXTENSION OF BREAKWATER.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 18th July, 1901.
THE Timaru Harbour Board have notified that, on and after the 1st August, 1901, a bright light will be shown at the seaward end of the staging of the Eastern Extension Mole, Timaru. The light will be 55 ft. above high-water mark, visible for five miles, and, viewed from seaward, will show from W.N.W. to S.E., magnetic. This light will be exhibited whilst the mole is in course of construction.

IT is hereby notified that the permissive license under “The Sea-fisheries Act, 1894,” to form and plant artificial oyster-beds on the foreshore of Motueka, granted to Edward O’Hara Canavan, of Motueka, settler, on the 24th day of March, 1898, is hereby cancelled.
