Additional Land at New Plymouth taken for the Purposes of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, and Extension to the Breakwater.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, and extension to the Breakwater, to take further land at New Plymouth in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street in the Borough of Thames.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Waikato-Thames Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister for Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of Thames, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said street:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and seventy-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Corporation of the Borough of Thames, and shall be maintained by the said Corporation in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Corporation.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the Thames Survey District, containing 22·5 perches, more or less,
being a portion of Allotment 38 of Kauaeranga S 28A Block, in the Township of Shortland and Borough of Thames. Bounded on the north-east by Grey Street, a distance of 104·6 links; on the south-east and south-west by Queen Street, distances of 135 links and 88·2 links respectively; and on the north-west by other portion of said Allotment 38, a distance of 169·4 links: as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 10298, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of section one hundred and five of “The Public Health Act, 1900,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and notify that the Colony of Hongkong is infected with a disease called or known as bubonic plague, being an infectious or contagious disease highly dangerous to the health of the people.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
TE KURTI BLOCK.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3,566 acres, more or less, and comprising the following sections—viz., Nos. 1, 2, and 3, Block XII., 1, 2, 2A, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, Block XV., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block XVI., all of Orahiri Survey District; and Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block III., and 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block IV., Otanake Survey District: as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 46324, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.
