Hawera Borough Council.

SPECIAL LOAN of £3,170 for the Purpose of completing Drainage-works for the Borough of Hawera (Part of a Total Sum of £7,170, £4,000 of which has already been borrowed and expended on Drainage-works for the Borough of Hawera).

  1. THE particular works proposed to be undertaken: The completion of drainage-works for the Borough of Hawera.

  2. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purposes: £3,170, as set forth above.

  3. The security for such loan proposed to be pledged is a special rate of 2d. in the pound on all the rateable property within the borough.

THE following special order, made by the Lawrence Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900.”

BOROUGH OF LAWRENCE.

I HEREBY certify that the subjoined special resolution, to operate as a special order, was duly passed at a special meeting of the Lawrence Borough Council held at the Borough Council Chambers, Town Hall, Lawrence, on Thursday, the 4th day of April, 1901, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held at the Borough Council Chambers, Town Hall, Lawrence, on Monday, the 13th day of May, 1901: “Resolved, by way of special resolution, to operate as a special order, that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers given to the Council by section 182 of ‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,’ that all wards in the Borough of Lawrence be and the same are hereby abolished.”

Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds.—Notice No. 652.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the under-mentioned local governing bodies have, by special order, declared the plants enumerated opposite the name of each to be “noxious weeds” within the meaning of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” in the district under the jurisdiction of each respectively:—

Local Bodies. Plants.
Waipa County Council .. Gorse, broom, and ragwort.
Te Awamutu Town Board .. Gorse.
Egmont Road Board .. The whole of the plants enumerated in the Second Schedule of the above-named Act.
Opaheke Road Board .. Ditto.

Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond, namely,—

Port of Wanganui.

Part of the first and second floors of the side portion of a brick building roofed with iron, situate on Section 42, St. Hill Street, Wanganui, to be known as

HATRICK’S BOND.

Revocation of Appointment of Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the authority in me for this purpose vested, I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do, by this order under my hand, revoke and annul the appointment of the under-mentioned warehouse for the reception and security of goods entered to be warehoused without payment of duty upon the first entry thereof, namely,—
