Land in the City of Wellington taken for Magistrate’s Court.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a Magistrate’s Court in the City of Wellington:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the issue of this Proclamation have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of constructing a Magistrate’s Court thereon.

SCHEDULE.

The parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

In the Land District of Wellington; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 19341, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Midland Railway from Belgrove to Tadmor—Tadmor Section.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS an extension of the Midland Railway from Belgrove to Tadmor (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1900”: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain a portion of the same, namely, the Tadmor Section:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at a point on the Midland Railway in Section No. 55 of Square 5, in the Land District of Nelson, the said point being the termination of the railway-line shown on the plan and described in the book of reference deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington on the 31st day of August, 1897, under the provisions of section 18 of “The Railways Construction and Land Act, 1881”; proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction for a distance of about five miles; thence generally in a westerly direction for about one mile; thence in a south-westerly direction for a distance of about 4 miles 7 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz., the said Section No. 55 of Square 5, Nelson Land District; Sections Nos. 95, 92, 91, 88, 126, 65, 66, 1, and 2, Block XIII Wai-iti Survey District; Reserve No. 8, Sections Nos. 71, 72, and 74, Block IX., Wai-iti Survey District; Sections Nos. 97, 98, 98A, 102, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block XII., Wangapeka Survey District; Sections Nos. 9, 10, 11, 12, 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block XVI., Wangapeka Survey District; and terminating on the boundary-line between Sections Nos. 11 and 13A, which is also the boundary between Blocks XV. and XVI., Wangapeka Survey District, distant about 15 chains from the south-western boundary of said Section No. 11, Block XVI., Wangapeka Survey District: including all adjoining and intervening lands, places, roads, reserves, rivers, streams, and watercourses; the total length of the line of railway as herein described being about 10 miles 7 chains: all in the Land District of Nelson: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 19334, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-sixty-eighth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for lease as a village settlement.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the one-hundred-and-sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby revoke that part of a Proclamation dated the tenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, dated
