Lands set apart as a Village Settlement in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-sixty-eighth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for lease as a village settlement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Land taken in the City of Wellington for the Purposes of the General Post Office.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for the purposes of the General Post Office, in the City of Wellington:

And whereas a plan has been prepared in duplicate, showing accurately the position and extent of the said land, and the Minister for Public Works has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the same, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the General Post Office, as aforesaid.
