The following special order, made by the Hunua Road
Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

HUNUA ROAD BOARD.
RESOLVED that, for the purpose of providing interest and
sinking fund on a loan of £800, to be borrowed under the
provisions of "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act,
1886," "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," and their amend-
ments, the Board strike a special rate of 2½d. in the pound
on the rateable value of the following properties, to be
called the Whisky Creek Special Rating Division—namely,
section, 47 acres, being south-west part of Section 81, Block
IV., and Sections 84, 20, 86, 85, 226, 185, 184, 182, 187, 188,
183, 181, 180, 186, 194, 193, 192, 195, 201, 203, 204, 205, 206,
207, 67, 39, 42, 43, 62, 61, 199, 197, 37, 196, 200, 191, 198,
190, 202, 209, 210, 211, 212, 55, 57, 46, 65, 66, 64, 60, 58, 50A,
and 63. The said special rate to be an annual-recurring
rate for forty-one years, and will become due and payable
in two instalments—viz., on the first Saturday in January
and July in each year. The first instalment becomes due
on the 5th day of January, 1901. The above loan is for a
period of forty-one years, at 3½ per cent.
I certify that the above special order was made by the
Hunua Road Board, as by law required, on the 1st Decem-
ber, 1900, and confirmed on the 5th January, 1901.

Road Board, are published in accordance with the
provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.
Special Order re Proposed Loan of £1,200 for the Glenn
Road.
THAT, to secure repayment of a loan of £1,200 (together with
interest thereon as set forth in subsection (3) of section 2 of
"The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment
Act, 1899"—i.e., at the rate of £3½ per centum per annum),
raised under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act,
1886," and amendments thereof, for the purpose of forming
and metalling the unmétalled portions of the Glenn Road,
Southern Subdivision, from the southern boundary of Section
No. 5, Block II., Waimate Survey District, to a point
forty (40) chains south of the block-line dividing the Kau-
pokonui and Waimate Survey Districts, a special annual-
recurring rate of seven-eighths of a penny (⅞d.) in the pound
be made and levied for a period of forty-one (41) years over
the Glenn Road Special Rating-area, comprising the fol-
lowing sections—34 to 39 (all inclusive) and the northern
portions of Section 40 (200 acres), all in Block II., Waimate
Survey District; such rate to be payable, if required, in one
instalment on the 1st day of January in each year of the
aforesaid period.
Special Order re Proposed Loan of £600 for the Taikatu
Road.
That, to secure repayment of a loan of £600 (together with
interest thereon as set forth in subsection (1) of section 2 of
"The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment
Act, 1899"—i.e., at the rate of £4½ per centum per annum),
raised under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act,
1886," and amendments thereof, for the purpose of forming
and metalling the unmétalled portions of the Taikatu Road,
Southern Subdivision, from the block-line dividing the Kau-
pokonui and Waimate Survey Districts to a point 130 chains
south, a special annual-recurring rate of one penny (1d.) in
the pound be made and levied for a period of twenty-six
years over the Taikatu Road Special Rating-area, compris-
ing the following—the eastern portions of Sections 38
and 39 (156 acres 1 rood 5·5 perches), the eastern portions
of Sections 40 and 41 (147 acres 1 rood 12 perches), the
eastern portion of Section 42 (65 acres 1 rood 20·5
perches), the eastern portion of Subsection 5 of Section 43
(76 acres 2 roods), Sections 48, 49, 50, 52, and the north-
western portion of Section 54 (5 acres), all in Block I.,
Waimate Survey District; such rate to be payable, if re-
quired, in one instalment on the 1st day of January in each
year of the aforesaid period.
I certify that the above special orders were duly made in
accordance with "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

DRURY ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
THAT a special order, making a special rate of ¼d. in the
pound, to be levied on all the rateable property in the
district, to provide interest and other charges and be as
security for a loan of £1,000, to be borrowed from the
Government under the provisions of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and its amendments, the
said loan being for the construction of road-works in the
district; such rate to be an annually recurring rate for
forty-one years, and payable in one instalment on the
second Saturday in January in each year, at the office of
the Board.

The following special order, made by the Eden Terrace
Road Board, is published in accordance with the pro-
visions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT for the purpose of the readjustment of the now-
existing loans obtained under the provisions of the Govern-
ment Loans to Local Bodies Acts, and specified in the
Schedule hereto, the Eden Terrace Road Board do hereby
order and authorise the said now-existing loans, and the
inscribed debt in respect of such loans, to be readjusted
under the provisions of subsection (2) of section 2 of "The
Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act,
1899," for the unexpired period of thirty-two years, such
readjustment to take effect on the 1st day of August next;
the payments to be made by the Eden Terrace Road Board
on such loans and inscribed debt to be at the rate of 4
per centum per annum, payable half-yearly, during the
unexpired period of thirty-two years, as from the 1st day
of August aforesaid.
