SCHEDULE.

Description of Reserve intended to be exchanged. Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing 2 acres 2 roods 34 perches, more or less, being portion of Reserve 1524, Block V., Hawkins Survey District. Bounded on the north-westward by a road-line, 817·5 links; on the north-eastward by a road-line, 400 links; on the south-eastward by a line parallel to the first-mentioned road, 659·6 links; thence on the south-westward by a line at a right angle to the aforesaid road, 367·3 links. All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing 1 rood, more or less, being Rural Section 30997, Block V., Hawkins Survey District. Bounded on the north-westward by a road-line, 258·3 links; on the north-eastward by Reserve 1524, 213 links; and on the southward by the Whitecliffs Branch Railway Reserve, 262 links. Also all that parcel of land, containing 2 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less, being Rural Section 30996, Block V., Hawkins Survey District. Bounded on the north-westward by Reserve 1524, 854·9 links; on the north-eastward by a road-line, 623·1 links; and on the southward by the above-mentioned railway reserve, 1237·7 links.

Applying Portions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” to the Town of Rotorua.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of January, 1901.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section seventeen of “The Rotorua Town Council Act, 1900,” it is enacted that, for the purpose of giving full effect to the said Act, the Governor may, by Order in Council, prescribe the several sections of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” which shall be applicable to the Town of Rotorua:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and in exercise of the hereinbefore-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby prescribe and declare that the sections of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” named in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the date of this Order in Council, apply to the Town of Rotorua.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that from and after the date hereof hares shall cease to be within the operation of the said Act within the Maniototo County, and within that part of the Taieri County lying to the north of Deep Stream and Mount Allan Creek.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one.

Defining Districts under “The Public Health Act, 1900.”

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by “The Public Health Act, 1900,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby divide New Zealand into the six public-health districts defined in the Schedule hereto, and do hereby declare that the names of such districts shall be those specified in the first column of such Schedule, and that the boundaries of the said districts shall respectively extend to and include all counties and boroughs geographically contained within such districts as specified in the second column of such Schedule.

Auckland Comprising the Counties of Mangonui, Whangaroa, Hokianga, Bay of Islands, Hobson, Whangarei, Otamatea, Rodney, Waitemata, Eden, Manukau, Coromandel, Thames, Raglan, Ohinemuri, Waikato, Piako, Waipa, Tauranga, Kawhia, West Taupo, East Taupo, Rotorua, Whakatane, Opotiki, Clifton, and all boroughs geographically contained therein respectively.
Hawke’s Bay Comprising the Counties of Waiapu, Cook, Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, Waipawa, Patangata, and all boroughs geographically contained therein respectively.
Wellington Comprising the Counties of Taranaki, Stratford, Wanganui, Hawera, Patea, Waitotara, Rangitikei, Kiwitea, Pohangina, Oroua, Manawatu, Pahiatua, Akito, Horowhenua, Eketahuna, Mauriceville, Castlepoint, Masterton, Wairarapa North, Wairarapa South, Hutt, and all boroughs geographically contained therein respectively.
Nelson-Westland Comprising the Counties of Collingwood, Waimea, Sounds, Buller, Inangahua, Marlborough, Grey, Westland, and all boroughs geographically contained therein respectively.
Canterbury Comprising the Counties of Kaikoura, Amuri, Cheviot, Ashley, Selwyn, Akaroa, Ashburton, Geraldine, Mackenzie, Levels, Waimate, Waitaki, Vincent, Maniototo, and all boroughs geographically contained therein respectively.
Otago Comprising the Counties of Waihemo, Waikouaiti, Taieri, Peninsula, Tuapeka, Bruce, Clutha, Southland, Wallace, Lake, Fiord, Stewart Island, and all boroughs geographically contained therein respectively.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other
