A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road through Block I., Lyndon, and Blocks III. and V., Tekoa, Survey Districts:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the said areas are delineated upon the plans marked S.G. 25355 and S.G. 25355A, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured brown.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the lessee of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Ashburton County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
