THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Upper Taueru Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

Mangorei Bridge Loan.

THE following is the result of a poll taken on Saturday, 15th December, 1900, upon the proposal to raise a sum of £60 for the above work:—

Number of ratepayers on special roll, 3; number of votes, 6: Number of voters for the proposal, 2; number of votes for the proposal, 4; number of votes and voters against the proposal, nil.

As the majority of voters and votes are in favour of the loan, I therefore declare the proposal carried.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Feilding, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886.”

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Feilding, 14th December, 1900.

SIR,—In compliance with section 184 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” I have the honour to inform you that a poll was taken on the 12th day of December instant on a proposal of the Feilding Borough Council to borrow by way of special loan the sum of £379 for the purpose of paying the Council’s share of the cost of forming, metalling, and bridging Reid’s line of road, with the following result:—

For the proposal, 53 votes; against the proposal, 2 votes: majority for the loan, 51.

I attach the usual statutory declaration.

Declaration.

I, George Cole Hill, Town Clerk of the Borough of Feilding, do solemnly and sincerely declare that all proceedings required by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” to be taken in and towards obtaining the sanction of the burgesses to the proposal of the Feilding Borough Council to raise the sum of £379 by way of special loan under the provisions of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1898,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” for the purpose of paying the Council’s share (one-half) of the cost of forming, bridging, culverting, and metalling Reid’s line of road (from Makino Road to Kimbolton Road), including cost of land required for deviation of road and fencing same, have been duly taken, and that the resolution in favour of the proposal has been duly carried.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

THE following special order, made by the Arch Hill Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

ARCH HILL ROAD BOARD.

Special Order—Readjustment of Loan.

For the purpose of the readjustment of the now-existing loan obtained under the provisions of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and specified in the Schedule hereto, the Arch Hill Road Board do hereby order and authorise the said now-existing loan, and the inscribed debt in respect thereof, to be readjusted under the provisions of subsection (1) of section 2 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” such readjustment to take effect from the 1st February next, as follows:—

Loan in said Schedule, known as the Arch Hill Waterworks Loan, to be readjusted under subsection (1) of section 2 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” for the unexpired period of twenty-six years, the payments to be made by the Arch Hill Road Board on such loan and inscribed debt to be at the rate of 4½ per centum per annum, payable half-yearly.

Schedule.

Name of loan: Arch Hill Waterworks. Amount: £1,800. Inscribed: 1/2/97. Terms: Present, twenty-six; readjusted, twenty-six years. Interest: Present, 5 per cent.; readjusted, 4½ per cent. Purpose for which loan was raised: Water-supply in district.

Notice of the Laying-off of Road through Section 6, Papamoa No. 2 Block, Te Tumu Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 92 of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, in May, 1900, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by warrant dated the 27th February, 1899.

PAPAMOA SPECIAL SETTLEMENT ROAD.

As the said area is delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the District Office of the Lands and Survey Department at Auckland, in the Auckland Land District, and thereon coloured as above stated.

Notice of the Laying-off of a Road through Part of Mangapapa No. 2, Block VI., Momahaki Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 92 of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, in April, 1900, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by a warrant dated the 6th February, 1900.
