Animals Protection Acts.—Declaring Reserve for Native and Imported Game, Lagoon Reserve, Borough of Hawkshury.
RANFURLY, Governor.
PURSUANT to the powers conferred upon him by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby notify that native and imported game shall not be taken or killed within the Lagoon Reserve, Borough of Hawkshury, in the Otago Land District, more particularly described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 92 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, known as Lagoon Reserve, situated in the Borough of Hawkshury. Bounded towards the north by Glasgow Street; towards the east by the Township of Hawkshury; towards the south by the Township of Hawkshury and Section No. 7, Block VI., Hawkshury Survey District; and towards the west by the Township of Hawkshury.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the second column of the Schedule hereto from a site for a Customhouse and post-office to a site for a drillshed.

Bounded towards the north-west by Customhouse Street, 61 links; towards the south-west by other part of Section No. 374, 205·6 links; towards the south-east by Read’s Quay, 63·1 links; and towards the north-east by other part of Section No. 374, 187·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. |

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, more or less, being Reserve G, Town of Wanganui. Bounded towards the north-east by Churton Street; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 1 and 2; towards the south-west by the Town Belt; and towards the north-west by the Town Belt: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Wellington.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was heretofore duly set apart for a reserve for public buildings, being a reserve within Class II. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and such land has not been vested in trust in any society, body corporate, or trustees: And whereas it is expedient that such reserve shall be appropriated for the purposes of a site for a hospital, being a reserve in Class III. of the aforesaid Act:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” do by this notification declare that the said reserve shall, from and after the thirty-first day of December instant, be appropriated for the purposes of a site for a hospital, under Class III. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881”; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 24, Block VII., Mangahao Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 90 of the Mangatainoka 2 B.H. Block; towards the south-east by a public road; towards the south by a public road; and towards the north-west by Section No. 6 of Block VII. of same district: as the same is delineated upon the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
