A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the forest land described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for State forests within the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 467 acres, more or less, situated in Block VIII., Maungaru Survey District, and Block I., Tangihua Survey District, Whangarei County. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 8, Block VIII., Maungaru Survey District, and the Pukepukeran Block, 3846, 1929, 2344, 2137, 540, 129, 520, and 132 links respectively; towards the south-east by Section No. 15, Block I., Tangihua Survey District, a line, and the Forest Reserve, 4800, 816, 230, 423, 230, 314, 109, 423, 1050, 240, 980, and 261 links respectively; and towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 10 and 9, Block VIII., Maungaru Survey District, 10985 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered 11615³ in blue, deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland.

All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 345 acres, more or less, being Section No. 8, Block XII., Mimi Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth.

All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,535 acres, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block IV., Upper Waitara Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth.

All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,744 acres, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block VIII., Upper Waitara Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth.

All that block of land in the Nelson Land District, containing 4,020 acres, more or less, being parts of Blocks XI., XII., and XV., Takaka Survey District, and VII., XIV., and XV., Kaiteriteri Survey District, together with Sections Nos. 5 and 6, Block XI., Takaka Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by Crown land, 7220 and 8649 links; towards the east generally by Sections Nos. 14 and 9, 7394 links, by Sections Nos. 2 and 3, Block VII., 4277 links, by Section No. 3, 5029 links, by Section No. 2, Block XIV., Kaiteriteri, 3747 and 1414 links, by Section No. 1, 1731 and 4053 links, by a public road, 8700 links, by Section No. 4, 1290 and 7270 links, and by Crown land, 17004 links; towards the south by Crown land, 10350 links; and towards the west generally by Section No. 82, 4148 links, by Section No. 81, 5278 links, by Section No. 10, 2616 links, partly by a public road, again by Section No. 10, 3834 links, by a public road, 700 links, by Section No. 83, 7741 and 152 links, by Section No. 7, 5189 and 2928 links, by Section No. 84, 3432 links, by Section No. 12, 2234 links, and by Section No. 13, 2295 and 4612 links: excepting and excluding the main road, Takaka to Motueka, which crosses the said block.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act passed in the session of Parliament held in the fifteenth and sixteenth years of Her Majesty’s reign entitled “An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that no Bill which shall be reserved for the signification of Her Majesty’s pleasure thereon shall have any force or authority within the Colony of New Zealand until the Governor of the said colony shall signify, by speech or message to the Legislative Council and House of Representatives of the said colony, or by Proclamation, that such Bill has been laid before Her Majesty in Council, and that Her Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same:

And whereas a certain Bill passed by the Legislative Council and House of Representatives of the said colony, entitled “An Act to amend the Law relating to the Establishment and Travelling-allowances of the Governor” (the Short Title whereof is “The Governor’s Salary and Allowances Act, 1900”), was presented to the Governor of the said colony for Her Majesty’s assent, and the said Bill was reserved for the signification of Her Majesty’s pleasure thereon:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the provisions of the said in-part-recited Act, do by this Proclamation signify and proclaim to all whom it may concern that the said Bill has been laid before Her Majesty in Council, and that Her Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same.
