Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.
CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned warehouse to be a warehouse or place of security for the manufacture therein of perfumery and other articles in which spirit is a necessary ingredient, namely,—
Port of Wellington.
A building with wooden frame, with galvanised-iron sides and roof, situate in a right-of-way off Riddiford Street, Section 1063, Town Acre, to be known as
THE MADDOX MANUFACTURING BOND.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 2 roods, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2, Block I., Prestonville, on a subdivision of all or part of Section 12, Block IV., Invercargill Hundred, in the Provincial District of Otago, bounded on the west by the Main North Road, 200 links, and on the north by James Street, 250 links. The last registration against the land is a conveyance and assignment for the benefit of creditors, John Gethin Hughes, of Invercargill, Hotelkeeper, to William Henry Brayton and John Spence, both described as of Invercargill, Merchants.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:
Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road in Ohinemuri Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of February, 1901.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the construction of a road through Native land in Ohinemuri Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land by the Ohinemuri County Council, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road, and the said land shall vest in the King, as from the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and one.
