Rural Lands in the Hawke’s Bay Land District open for Selec-
tion on Lease in Perpetuity.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by “The Land for Settlements
Consolidation Act, 1900,” and the one-hundred-and-thirty-
sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John
Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-
General in this behalf, as in the said one-hundred-and-thirty-
sixth section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural
lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for
selection on and after the twenty-fifth day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and one; and that the said lands
may be selected on lease in perpetuity only, subject to the
provisions of “The Land Act, 1892”; and I do hereby
declare that the rentals at which the said lands shall be
leased shall be those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto
opposite the description of such lands respectively.
