such rights, powers, and privileges shall be altered, modified,
or revoked by competent authority; and the licensee shall
not assign, charge, or part with any such right, power, or
privilege without the previous written consent of the Minister
first obtained.

The said rights, powers, and privileges may be at any
time resumed by the Governor, without payment of any
compensation whatever, on giving to the licensee six calen-
dar months’ previous notice in writing. Any such notice
shall be sufficient if given by the Minister, and delivered at
or posted to the last known address of the licensee in New
Zealand. -
The licensee shall be liable for any injury which the
said shed may cause any vessel or boat to sustain through
any default or neglect on his part. -
In case the licensee shall—
(1.) Commit or suffer a breach of the conditions herein-
before set forth, or any of them;
(2.) Cease to use or occupy the said shed for a period
of thirty days;
(3.) Become bankrupt, or be in any manner brought
under the operation of any Act for the time
being in force relating to bankruptcy; or
(4.) Fail to pay the sums specified in clause 3 of these
conditions,
then and in either of the said cases this Order in Council,
and every right, power, or privilege, may be revoked and
determined by the Governor in Council without any notice
to the licensee or other proceeding whatsoever; and publi-
cation in the New Zealand Gazette of an Order in Council
containing such revocation shall be sufficient notice to the
licensee, and to all persons concerned or interested, that
this Order in Council, and the license, rights, and privileges
thereby granted and conferred, have been revoked and deter-
mined.
- The erection of the boat-shed shall be sufficient evi-
dence of the acceptance by the licensee of the terms and
conditions of this Order in Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth
day of February, 1901.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a public work, to wit,
the construction of a road through part of Te Reu Reu
Native Reserve No. 2, Rangitoto Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native
owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the
said land by the Manchester Road Board, as required by the
eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act,
and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that
behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the
land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule
hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the
said road, and the said land shall vest in the King, as from
the sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and one.

Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,

RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or parti-
cular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that
the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the
lands in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke’s Bay,
Taranaki, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland
described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the pur-
poses in the said Schedule specified at the end of the de-
scription of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 16A of the Small Farms near Otahuhu,
containing by admeasurement 2 roods 12 perches, more or
less. Bounded towards the east by the Tamaki Estuary;
towards the south-west by a public road, 250 links; and
towards the north-west by Section No. 16 of the Small
Farms near Otahuhu, 350 links, to the point of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the
same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the
Chief Surveyor, Auckland. For a public landing-place.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 178A of the Parish of Oruawharo, con-
taining by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods, more or less.
Bounded towards the north by the Hakaru River; towards
the east generally by Section No. 177 of the Parish of Orua-
wharo, 500 links, and by the abutment of a public road,
100 links; towards the south by Section No. 178 of the
Parish of Oruawharo aforesaid, 745 links; and towards the
west by unadjudicated Native land, 800 links, to the point
of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the
office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland. For a public landing-
place.
HAWKE’S BAY.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood, more or less,
being Section No. 16, Block V., Mangatoro Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 5, 408·4
links; towards the south-east by a road, 500 links; towards
the south-west by Section No. 5, 513·4 links; and towards
the north-west by Section No. 5, 488·8 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated
on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Napier. For a quarry.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 11, Block VI., Mangatoro Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by the Tuturewa Road,
417·6 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 1, 568·8
links; towards the south-west by the Tuturewa Road,
405·8 links; and towards the north-west by the Tuturewa
Road, 562·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less:
as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, Napier. For a public cemetery.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land Dis-
trict, containing by admeasurement 125 acres, more or less,
being Section No. 14, Block XVI., Pohui Survey District.
Bounded towards the north by Section No. 3, 4161·2 links;
towards the east by Section No. 2, 1739·5 links; towards
the south generally by the Richmond Road, 7949·6 links;
and towards the west by a road, 5051·2 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Napier. For an endowment for primary education.
All that parcel of land in Hawke’s Bay Land District,
containing by admeasurement 578 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 4, Block VI., Mangatoro Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 5, 9764 links;
towards the south-east by the Pukokomuka Road, 7591·9
links; towards the south-west by Section No. 3, 8518·9 links;
and towards the north-west by Section No. 10 of Block V.
and Section No. 1 of Block VI., 6326 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the
plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier.
