Land in Southland Land District open for Selection on Perpetual Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 9th January, 1901.
THE under-mentioned Crown land, having been surrendered in terms of section 156 of “The Land Act, 1885,” will be open for selection on perpetual lease on and after Tuesday, the 12th day of March, 1901. If more than one application be received for the allotments on the same day, then the order of selection shall be decided by ballot on the following day at 11 a.m.

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned pastoral run will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on the 26th day of February, 1901.
SCHEDULE.
WHERNSIDE SURVEY DISTRICT.
(Pastoral License under Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.”)
Run No. 115, Class I. (Woodside): 12,760 acres; term, three years; upset annual rental, £150.
Broken country, principally limestone formation; about 5,700 acres open land, covered with grass, tussock, and fern; balance, light bush and scrub. About fifty miles from Blenheim by main road to Kaikoura.
Possession will be given on 1st March, 1901.
One half-year’s rent and £1 1s. must be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the usual declaration furnished.

Small Grazing-run, Auckland Land District, open for Selection.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned small grazing-run will be open for application at this office on Monday, the 25th February, 1901, at the rental stated.
In the event of more than one application being received on the same day, the right to select will be decided by ballot on the following day, at 11 a.m.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—COROMANDEL COUNTY.
HARATAUNGA Survey District, Blocks V. and VI.: Small grazing-run No. 27, 2,560 acres, Auckland Museum Endowment or Waikanae Block. Half-yearly rental, £16. Term of lease, twenty-one years from 1st March, 1901.
Broken pastoral land; forest and open; clay soil, medium quality and well watered. Situated between Cabbage Bay and Waikawau Bay, and within a mile of each bay.
The lease will be under Part V. of “The Land Act, 1892.” Forms of application and poster plans obtainable at this office.

Run No. 4: 6,000 acres, in Upper Taramakau, Otahake, and Otira Valleys, on northern faces of Aicken Range; bush-clad terraces and hill-sides; cattle-feed only. Access by open river-beds from Hokitika–Christchurch Road.
Run No. 71: 10,000 acres, Kaimata Range, Upper Taramakau Valley; rugged mountain-tops, with scanty tussock feed; mean elevation, 4,000 ft. above sea-level; sheep-pasture, summer country. Access from Taramakau and Crooked River beds.
Run No. 84: 13,000 acres, Kelly’s Range, between Taipo and Otira Rivers; hummocky, well-grassed tops; mean altitude, 3,700 ft. above sea; fair summer sheep-country. Access from Hokitika–Christchurch Road, via leading spurs.
Run No. 91: 9,000 acres, Hokitika Valley, watershed of Doctor’s Creek; rough, hilly land all covered with forest; suitable for cattle only. Access by open river-bed.
Terms of Sale.
The above runs will be sold generally in accordance with the provisions of Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892,” subject to any rights of renewal or resumption as may be presented by the Land Acts or other constituted authority.
Purchasers must deposit a statutory declaration required by section 62 of “The Land Act, 1892,” and pay the sum of the half-year’s rent and license-fee on fall of the hammer.
