PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand passed in the forty-fourth year of the reign of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria, and intituled “The Marriage Act, 1880,” the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information:—
Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of England.
The Venerable John Palmer, B.D.
Presbyterian Church of New Zealand.
The Reverend Henry B. Gray.
Salvation Army.

Crown Lands Notices.
Land in Blind River Estate, Marlborough, open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned lands in the Blind River Estate are now open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim. If more than one application be received for the same allotment on the same day, then priority of selection shall be decided by ballot.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—CLIFFORD BAY SURVEY DISTRICT.—BLIND RIVER ESTATE.
Sections 10, 11, 29a, Block XII.: 560 acres; half-yearly rent, £40 12s. Weighted with £261 18s., valuation for improvements.
Two hundred acres flat, and low hills (ploughable), remainder pastoral country. About twenty miles from Blenheim by the Redwood Pass Road. Altitude, from 10 ft. to 300 ft. The improvements consist of house, hut, stable, and cob dairy, 358 chains of fencing, and 10 acres in grass.
Sections 26, 27, 28, 29b, Block XII.: 935 acres; half-yearly rent, £71 13s. 8d. Weighted with £441 5s. 5d., valuation for improvements.
Twenty acres level and undulating agricultural land, 106 acres flat with patches of good soil, 18 acres lagoons, remainder pastoral country. About twenty-two miles from Blenheim by the Redwood Pass Road. Altitude, from 10 ft. to 300 ft. The improvements consist of two houses, well, pump and pipes, outbuildings, yards, 46 chains of drains, 72 acres of grass, and 344 chains fencing.
One half-year’s rent, and £1 1s. lease-fee, must accompany each application.

Block I. is burdened with £40, valuation for buildings. Sections 1 to 6 and 15, Block XXX., are burdened with £40, valuation for buildings.
One-fifth of the purchase-money, together with valuation for improvements, must be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee of £1, within thirty days, or the deposit will be forfeited.

About 1,000 acres shingle and steep rocky faces, very broken; remainder low limestone hills covered with tussock, fern, and scrub; good sheep country. Excellent homestead-site; small cottage; 210 chains boundary-fence, 245 chains interior fence; well watered; altitude, sea-level to 1,126 ft.; fronts on Main South Road. About sixty miles from Blenheim, and thirty-five miles from Kaikoura. Weighted with £31 10s., value of cottage and fences in the vicinity.
