Arnold Survey District aforesaid : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 10,000 acres, more or less, comprising the Cape Terrace, Westbrooke, and Greenstone Gold-diggings. Bounded towards the south-west by the Teremakau River ; towards the south by a line bearing 97° 52' through traverse tube xvi., Pounamu to Teremakau Road, and terminating 142 chains therefrom ; towards the east by a line at right angles with last-mentioned boundary, 200 chains ; and towards the north by a line parallel to southern boundary : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 3,500 acres, more or less, comprising the Acre Creek and Teremakau Gold-diggings. Bounded towards the north-east by the Teremakau River ; towards the south-east by the Kumara Borough Endowment Reserve No. 203 (in red) ; towards the south-west by the DJ Line Road to Reserve No. 129 ; thence towards the west generally by Reserve No. 129 and Railway Reserve No. 7 (in red) to Section No. 1999 ; towards the east by said Section No. 1999 and Section No. 2002 ; and towards the north by said Section No. 2002 : exclusive of sold lands and reserves. Also that piece of land situate in the Borough of Kumara, bounded towards the north-west by Reserve No. 203, Kumara Borough Endowment ; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 1309, 1308, 1307; 1181, 1180, 1179, and 1178 ; towards the south-east generally by the Zigzag Road, Reserve No. 158, and the Town Belt ; west to EB Road ; thence towards the south-west by said EB Road : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 5,250 acres, more or less, comprising the Kumara Gold-diggings. Bounded towards the north-east by the Teremakau River ; towards the south-east by a line bearing 223° 23' through traverse-tube xxv., Kumara to Christchurch Road, to the Loopline Road ; thence towards the south-west generally by the said Loopline Road to the Reservoir Reserve ; thence by the said Reservoir Reserve and the Loopline Road before mentioned to the Greenstone Road ; towards the west generally by the said Greenstone Road, Sections Nos. 1851, 1852, and Education Endowment Reserve No. 128 to the Borough of Kumara ; thence towards the north-west by the Borough of Kumara : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,500 acres, more or less, comprising the Acre Creek Diggings, situated in the Waimea Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Chesterfield Road ; towards the south-east generally by Chesterfield Township and the road from Stafford to Chesterfield ; towards the south-west by Mining Reserve, Block II., as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62, 27th August, 1891, and the north-eastern boundary-line of that reserve produced to Road and Railway Reserve No. 7 ; and towards the north-west by Road and Railway Reserve No. 7 : exclusive of sold land and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5,170 acres, more or less, situated in the Waimea Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by Chesterfield Township, Chesterfield Road, Kapitea Creek, and Little Kapitea Creek ; towards the south-west by Mining Reserve, Block II., as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62, 27th August, 1891 ; and towards the north-west by the road from Stafford to Chesterfield : exclusive of sold land and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 9,900 acres, more or less, comprising the Piper’s Flat, Kelly’s Terrace, Stafford, and Waimea Gold-diggings. Bounded towards the west by the western boundary of Cattle and Commonage Reserve No. 243 to Fox’s Creek ; thence by Fox’s Creek to a line bearing N. 59° 8' W. from Trig. Station EC ; thence by said line a distance of about 329 chains : thence towards the north-west by a line bearing N. 30° 52' E. through Trig. Station DE 200 chains : thence towards the north-east by a line drawn parallel to the first-mentioned line to the Greenstone Road : thence towards the east by a right line to the junction of the Pipe Line Reserve with the Duffer’s Creek Road ; thence by the said Duffer’s Creek Road to the Christchurch Road : thence towards the south by the Christchurch Road to the Railway Reserve ; and thence by the Railway Reserve to the Christchurch Road aforesaid ; and thence by that road to the western boundary of Cattle and Commonage Reserve No. 243 : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 8,250 acres, comprising the Kanieri, Hauhau, and Bluespur Gold-diggings. Bounded towards the south-east by a line bearing N. 41° 10' E., and commencing 58 chains distant from traverse tube lix., Kanieri Lake Road ; thence north-easterly through said traverse tube lix., 100 chains ; thence north-westerly at a bearing of N. 48° 50' W. a distance of about 344 chains ; thence again towards the south-east by a right line at right angles to the last mentioned line as far as Section No. 1948 ; thence by said Section No. 1948 and Section No. 1943 to a point on the north-western boundary-line of the latter section in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 1303 ; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of said Section No. 1303 : thence towards the north-west generally by Sections Nos. 1303, 1302, 1727, and 2129 to a point on the south-western boundary-line of the latter section in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 1263 ; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of the latter section ; thence by the south-eastern boundary of said Section No. 1263 to the Paddock Road ; thence by the Paddock Road and the Kanieri and Hauhau Road to the Hokitika River : thence generally towards the south-west by said river, the Township of Kanieri, and the road forming the eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 628 and 629 to the Kanieri River ; thence by the said Kanieri River to Section No. 1636 ; thence by said Section No. 1636 and the road separating Sections Nos. 1636 and 1531 to the Kanieri Lake Road ; thence by the said Kanieri Lake Road and a line bearing 131° 10' to the starting-point : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 5,700 acres, more or less, comprising the Woodstock, Eight-mile, Rimu, and Back Lead Diggings. Commencing at a point on the Borough Road east on a bearing of 157° 20° from Trig. Station EM ; thence by a right line on the same bearing to the eastern boundary of the Mahinapua Survey District ; thence due south by the aforesaid eastern boundary to the HD Road ; thence towards the south-east by a right line to a point 500 chains distant from Trig. Station EM on a bearing of S. 22° 40' E. from that trig. station ; and thence by a right line bearing N. 20° 40' E. to the Hokitika River ; towards the north-east by the said Hokitika River to a Native reserve ; thence towards the north-west, again towards the north-east, and again towards the north-west by said Native reserve to Section No. 8238 ; thence again towards the north-east by said Section No. 8238 : and again towards the north-west by Borough Road E : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 5,000 acres, more or less, comprising the Ross, Totara, Redman’s and Donoghue’s Gold-diggings. Bounded towards the south-west by the northern bank of the Mikonui River ; towards the south by a line from Trig. Station D2 to Trig. Station D1 to the Totara River ; towards the east, north, and north-west by the said Totara River, Woolhouse Road, Moorehouse Road, and the sea-coast : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 2,000 acres, more or less, comprising the Cedar Creek Gold-diggings. Bounded towards the east by the Totara River ; towards the north by a line bearing 111° 10' through Trig. Station HB, 200 chains ; towards the west by a line bearing 201° 10', 100 chains ; and towards the south by a line parallel with the northern boundary to the Totara River aforesaid : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that area in the Westland Land District, containing 3,000 acres, more or less, comprising the Seven-mile Creek and Bald Hill Gold-diggings. Bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station EK and bearing 41° 32' to the Teremakau River ; thence following the southern bank of said river in an easterly direction ; thence southerly at a bearing of 221° 32' and distant 80 chains from the first-mentioned line to a line from Trig. Station EK to Trig. Station AL ; thence south-easterly along such line to Trig. Station AL ; thence westerly at a bearing of 265° 12' to the eastern bank of the Taipo River ; and thence northerly along said river ; thence easterly distant 60 chains from and parallel to last-mentioned bearing ; and thence north-easterly at a bearing of 41° 32' to the commencing-point : exclusive of sold lands and reserves.
All that parcel of land in the Township of Kumara, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 356, 357, 358, 361, 362, 363, 364, 365, 366, 367, 368, 369, 370, 371, 372, 373, 744, 745, 746, 747, 748, 749, 750, 751, 752, 54, and 736.
