(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—
- The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the third Monday in each month, at seven o’clock p.m., at Governor’s Bay, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and two.
- Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.
- Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
- The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the third Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.
- The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.
- If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.
- If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.
- All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcel of Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3060 (in red), formerly part Rural Section 232, Block VII., Halswell Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the road along high-water mark, Governor’s Bay, Port Lyttelton; towards the south-east by Rural Sections Nos. 1649, 1649x, and again by 1649, 1564 links; towards the south-west by a road-line, 1517 links; and towards the north-west by the creek passing through Rural Section No. 232 into Governor’s Bay: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch.

Setting apart a Reserve under “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fourth day of December, 1901.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor in Council is authorised under the said Act to set apart any specified area of Crown lands within a kauri-gum district to be kauri-gum reserves under the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient to create and set apart the kauri-gum reserve hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a kauri-gum reserve, with the name set over the description of such reserve in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY.
RANGITANE Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,245 acres. For Kerikeri Settlement.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in Blocks VII., VIII., XI., and XII., Kerikeri Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1,245 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by the Mangonui Inlet; towards the south-east generally by Section No. 10 of Block VIII., Kerikeri Survey District, by a public road, by Section No. 7 of Block VIII. aforesaid, by the Kerikeri Inlet, by the Paepaetehengia Stream, by the north-western boundary of the Aroha Block (No. 411 in red) to its westernmost angle, thence by a right line running due south to the Kerikeri Inlet, again by the Kerikeri Inlet and by land granted to J. Shepherd (No. 226, O.L.C.); towards the south-west by the Rangitane Creek; and towards the north-west by land granted to W. S. Grahame (No. 16, O.L.C.) to the point of commencement.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the purposes of a magazine reserve in Block XIII., Ohinemuri Survey District: And whereas the said lands are held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said lands by the Ohinemuri County Council, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said magazine reserve, and the said land shall vest in the County Council of Ohinemuri, as from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and two.
