Notice respecting Proposed Borough of Waihi, County of Ohinemuri.

PURSUANT to section 175 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition has been presented to him praying for the constitution of the area described in the Schedule hereto as a borough under the said Act, to be named the Borough of Waihi. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said borough which they may desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice.
Such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Colonial Secretary, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED BOROUGH.
COMMENCING at the junction of the Waitete Stream with the Ohinemuri River, thence northerly by the eastern bank of the Waitete Stream to the Government timber reserve, thence easterly along the southern boundary of said reserve to its south-east corner, thence northerly along easterly boundary of said reserve to north-east corner thereof, thence easterly along southern boundary of water-conservation reserve to its intersection with Slevin’s lease, thence northerly along western boundary of said lease to north-west corner thereof, thence north-easterly by a line to the Waihi Gold-mining Company’s dam on Walmsley’s Creek, thence by Walmsley’s Creek to its intersection with the Ohinemuri River, thence by the Ohinemuri River to Suburban Section 25, thence by road on north of said section to its junction with Beach Road, thence by Beach Road westerly to Tauranga Road, thence by Tauranga Road to south-east boundary of Section 38, thence by south-east boundary of Section 38 to the Waimata Creek, thence by the Waimata Creek to its junction with the Ohinemuri River, thence by the Ohinemuri River to the commencing-point at its junction with the Waitete Stream; comprising a total area of 3,830 acres, more or less.
