That part of West Mangahua Road from the Main Road to Section No. 32, Block IV., Umutoi Survey District, as shown on plan marked S.G. 44152D, hereinafter mentioned.
That part of Cross Road from Watershed Road to Mangawharariki Road, as shown on plan marked S.G. 44152B, hereinafter mentioned.
That part of Watershed Road from Ruae Road to the Pemberton Small-farm Block, as shown on plan marked S.G. 44152B, hereinafter mentioned.
That part of Mangarere Road from the Rangitikei River to Ruae Road, as shown on plans marked S.G. 44152A and S.G. 44152B, hereinafter mentioned.
That part of Peka Road from Otaiia Road to Mangarere Road, as shown on plan marked S.G. 44152A, hereinafter mentioned.
That road known as Pemberton Farm-homestead Road, intersecting Sections Nos. 38A, 34, 37A, 37B, 33, and 36, of Block XV., Hautapu Survey District, as shown on plan marked S.G. 44152C, hereinafter mentioned.
As the same are delineated on the plans marked S.G. 44152A, S.G. 44152B, S.G. 44152C, and S.G. 44152D respectively, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured sienna.

Declaring Roads in Starborough Settlement to be District Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of October, 1900.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the roads defined in the Schedule below, and which were made by the Governor under the powers contained in the said Act, and have hitherto been Government roads, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become district roads.
SCHEDULE.
Those roads in the Marlborough Land District, in the Starborough Settlement and the Town of Seddon, aggregating in length 61 miles 15 chains, more or less, and comprising roads and portions of roads as described hereinbelow, viz.:
The road along the right bank of the Awatere River, extending from the Richmond Brook to the northern corner of Section No. 3, Block IX., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road extending from the Richmond Brook, bounding Sections Nos. 1, 2, 7, and 8, Block XXII., Taylor Pass Survey District; 3, 4, and 5, Block XIII., Clifford Bay Survey District; Sections Nos. 4 and 6, Block X., and Sections Nos. 8 and 9, Block XI., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road intersecting Section 2, and forming the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 4, 5, and 6, Block XI., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 9, 10, 11, and 7, Block XXII., Taylor Pass Survey District.
The road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 5 and 2, Block IV., Blue Mountain Survey District; of Section No. 13, Block XXII., Taylor Pass Survey District; and of Section No. 8, Block XIII., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road forming the north-eastern and northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 11 and 13, Block XXII., Taylor Pass Survey District; Sections Nos. 2 and 3, Block IV., Blue Mountain Survey District; and Section No. 1, Block I., Cape Campbell Survey District.
The road intersecting Sections Nos. 4 and 2, Block I., Cape Campbell Survey District, and extending to the Kaikoura-Blenheim Road.
The Kaikoura-Blenheim Road from Section No. 2, Block X., Clifford Bay Survey District, to the southernmost corner of Section No. 4, Block XIV., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road partly intersecting and partly forming the southern boundaries of Section No. 7, Block XIII., and intersecting Section No. 3, Block XIV., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road intersecting Sections Nos. 5, 6, and 7 of Block XIII., and bounding Section No. 3, Block XIV., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 4, 3, and 2, Block XIV., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Section No. 3, Block IX., and No. 6, Block XI., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road known as the Main Road via Redwood Pass, extending from the northern corner of Section No. 1 to the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 13, Block XI., Clifford Bay Survey District.
The road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 15 and the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 15, 16, and 18, Block XXII., Taylor Pass Survey District.
The road intersecting Section No. 3, Block X., extending from the Awatere River to, and thereafter following, the south-eastern boundary of said section.
The road forming the north-west boundary of Section No. 14, Block XXII., Taylor Pass Survey District.
The roads in the Town of Seddon known as follows: viz., Beaumont Street, Clifford Street, Fell Street, Redwood Street, Weld Street, Fearon Street, Tetley Street, Goulter Street, Richmond Street, Mills Street, Simpson Street, Wilson Street, Seymour Street, Newcome Street, and Renwick Street.
As all the above roads and portions of roads are delineated upon the plans marked S.G. 18814 and S.G. 18814A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Excepting Land from Operation of Section 117 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of October, 1900.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section four of “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1895,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Order in Council, except from the operation of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), for a limited period or otherwise, and either generally or for such purposes and subject to such restrictions as shall be in such Order specified, any land, wheresoever situate, which is for the time being subject to the operation of the said section, or any interest therein or right over the same, or may in like manner make such exception in favour exclusively of any lessee or other person who has been bonâ fide in occupation of and has made improvements on such land, or has paid money to Native owners for lease or purchase thereof, prior to the passing of the said Act: Provided that no Order in Council under the provisions of this section shall take effect until after the expiration of two months from the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette: Provided also that every alienation under the provisions of this section shall be confirmed by the Court in terms of section fifty-three of the said Act:
And whereas Heni Kipa, of Otaki, being an owner in the Horowhenua No. 9B Block, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, and containing six hundred acres, more or less, has applied to be allowed to sell her share or interest in the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section four of “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1895,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby except from the operation of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” for the purpose of alienation by way of sale, all the estate, right, title, and interest of the said Heni Kipa in all that block or parcel of land, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, containing six hundred acres, more or less, known as Horowhenua No. 9B, and being the whole of the land comprised in partition order of the Native Land Court, dated the nineteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, in favour of Nepia Pomare and others.
