Notifying Lands in Wellington for Sale by Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of
“The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ran-
furly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint Friday, the fourteenth day of December, one
thousand nine hundred, as the time at which the lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction at Pahiatua; and I do hereby fix the prices at which
the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto.

Weighted with valuation for improvements as follows:—

These lots are situated in the Makairo Settlement, the
access being from Pahiatua or Woodville, which are about
eight miles distant. They are cleared and in grass; the soil
is of good quality, resting on papa formation. Each lot is
weighted with the amount shown above for improvements,
comprising clearing, felling, grassing, fencing, &c.

this eleventh day of October, one thousand nine

Vaccination Districts constituted.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the
Governor by “The Public Health Act, 1876,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination
districts known as the Eltham and Waimate Plains Districts,
and do declare that the territory heretofore comprised
within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three
vaccination districts, the names whereof shall be the El-
tham, Kaponga, and Waimate Plains Districts, and the
boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the bound-
aries of, the marriage districts bearing the same names, as
are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made
under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this ninth day of October, one thousand nine
hundred.

Rural Lands in the Marlborough Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by “The Land for Settlements Act,
1894,” and the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The
Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having re-
ceived the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf,
as in the said one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section is pro-
vided, do hereby declare that the rural land enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and
after the tenth day of December, one thousand nine hun-
dred; and that the said land may be selected on lease in
perpetuity, subject to the provisions of “The Land Act,
1892”; and I do hereby declare that the rental at which the
said land shall be leased shall be that mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto.

This section is situated on the northern bank of the Blind
River near its mouth; the altitude ranges from 20 ft. to
350 ft. About 113 acres open pastoral country; steep and
broken in places; remainder open table-land with soil of
good quality, ploughable and well watered. About nineteen
miles from Blenheim by Redwood Pass Road. Weighted
with £172 valuation for improvements, consisting of house,
well and pump, 150 chains fencing, and 3 chains ditching.

These sections are bounded on the west by the Blind
River, and on the east by the Pacific Ocean. Altitude from
10 ft. to 300 ft. Two hundred acres flat and low hills,
ploughable; remainder pastoral country. About twenty
miles from Blenheim by Redwood Pass Road. Weighted
with £261 18s. valuation for improvements, consisting of
house, hut, stable and cob dairy, 358 chains fencing, 10
acres in grass, and fencing-material on ground.

These sections are bounded on the south by Lake Grass-
mere, and on the east by the Pacific Ocean. Altitude 10 ft.
to 300 ft. Twenty acres level and undulating agricultural
land; 106 acres flat partly covered with sand and shingle,
and patches of good soil; 18 acres lagoons; remainder pas-
toral country. About twenty-two miles from Blenheim by
Redwood Pass Road. Weighted with £441 5s. 5d. valuation
for improvements, consisting of two houses, well, pump
and pipes, outbuildings, yards, 46 chains drains, 72 acres
grass, 344 chains fencing.

this fifth day of October, one thousand nine
hundred.
