Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road in Waikohu Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of August, 1900.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the construction of a road through part of Okahuatiu 1a Block, Waikohu Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land by the Ngatapa Road Board, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road, and the said land shall vest in the Ngatapa Road Board, as from the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred.

Vesting a Reserve in the Wairarapa South County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, 1900.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was permanently set aside as a reserve for metal on the eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Wairarapa South County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Wairarapa South County,” in trust, as a reserve for metal.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 208A, Block X., Waipawa Survey District. Bounded towards the north by public road, 100 links wide, and Section No. 208; towards the east by Section No. 208; towards the south by public road, 100 links wide; and towards the west by public road, 100 links wide: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, 1900.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto were set aside permanently as metal reserves on the date specified therein:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the said lands should be vested in the Wanganui County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Wanganui County,” in trust, as reserves for metal.

Increasing the Area of Land that may be held by Settlers in Makuri Village.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, 1900.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS it was provided that no lessee should hold more than one section in the Makuri Village Settlement, which was opened for selection on the fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two:
And whereas it is expedient to allow one person to hold more than one section in the Makuri Village Settlement, provided that the total area acquired does not exceed twenty-five acres in extent:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance of section one hundred and sixty-nine of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby declare that on and after the date hereof any settler in the Makuri Village Settlement may apply for and acquire land therein of an area not exceeding twenty-five acres in extent in the whole.
